Minnesota's aiding and abetting statute holds anyone criminally liable for the commission of a crime if he intentionally aids another in such an act. Luckily all he got was an aiding and abetting manslaughter charge so far as I recall. Otherwise he would have had to spend a lot more time in jail where the murderous bassturd belongs.

Again, I disagree and so did the jury who heard the evidence. what i see is that he did not intend the death of Floyd and indeed was making efforts to avoid such an outcome, different than others who were not. 4 years is not anything to sneeze at.

Part of the problem is that the fckkkers only got charged with manslaughter when second degree murder was more apropos. But that's Minnesota politics for you. I know so many of you think this is a liberal state but it isn't. You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But as far as I'm concerned only the hanging tree would have sufficed. Interestingly, black cop accidentally shoots and kills a white woman and he got 12 years. Thankfully, part of his sentence was reduced to 4 years after the third degree murder rap was overturned. The family of that white woman was awarded one hundred times more damages than that of an innocent black man who was shot and killed intentionally by a white cop. Imagine the message that tells young black children here --- you're life is only worth 1/100th of a white person. Now tell me there is no racism in this society.

In a recent episode of his aptly named podcast, “Please Call Me Crazy,” GOP Senate candidate Royce White went on a chauvinistic rant demeaning women who live in the suburbs, and labeling Republican politicians who seek these women’s votes as “losers” who have a “cucked mentality.”

He doesn’t seem to have gotten the memo that Donald Trump and his campaign are trying — however haplessly — to soften their image with women voters. Or maybe White is outright defying it.

The Minnesota Republican, who’s currently looking to unseat Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, is known for launching bigoted attacks via social media and his podcasts. In July 2023, for example, White told former Trump adviser Steve Bannon that women these days are “too mouthy.”

That remark came up again during a podcast episode released on Thursday, when White doubled down on his “mouthy” remark, claimed Republicans who try to win over suburban women voters are “delusional," said these Republicans would be better off caucusing with Democrats, and accused these Republicans of “living in a cucked mentality.” (The term "cuck," in right-wing parlance, is another word for a man perceived as weak — particularly in their interactions with women). It’s worth noting, here, that just last week Trump publicly tried to woo suburban women during a speech that focused on crime. Awkward.

Not per capita. Black people are 13% of the population yet commit well over 50% of violent crime in the US. To be fair, 18-45 black men ( 3% ) of the population commit over 50% of violent crime.
