The circulation is weaker than it has been in around 1,000 years, scientists had previously said, but they did not know whether it had actually been destabilized or undergoing natural changes.

The long-feared era of disastrous climate change has arrived.
For the first time, the planet's top scientists said in a monumental report released on Monday they have definitively linked greenhouse gas emissions to the type of disasters driven by a warmer climate that have touched every corner of the globe this year: extreme rainfall in Germany and China, brutal droughts in the western U.S., a record cyclone in the Philippines and compound events like the wildfires and heat waves from the Pacific Northwest to Siberia to Greece and Turkey.
This is the world as it exists today, with an atmosphere 1.1 degrees Celsius hotter than it was in the pre-industrial era. Even grimmer: There is no scenario in the new analysis by the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in which the world avoids breaching the threshold of 1.5 degrees Celsius that the U.S., EU and several other countries have set as a target. Even the weaker 2-degree target that major polluters China and India have set as guideposts will be eclipsed unless greenhouse gas emissions peak by mid-century.
Those numbers have real-world consequences for billions of people, with cascading impacts on agriculture, human migrations and even wars, numerous studies in recent decades have warned.

I think these folks have been making suggestions as to how to potentially defend or counteract these issues for a long time. The prescription is out there. This is just some new support to back it up, one wouldn’t expect the solution to always be included in every evidentiary piece of information to support a position.

I don’t disagree though this forum is to present ideas so in this world it seems fine to post that story but bigger picture what are a bunch of hypocrites doing about it is a fair question to ask. That being said of course fear is used all the time even by folks you support and defend around here regularly. Fear is used by your political heroes just like Dislaxxics political heroes or Brooklyn’s. Typically it’s the predecessor to action and reaction in the process of how things evolve.

You missed the big solution Kram, it is as plain as the nose on yer face. All it takes is trillions, and trillion, and trillions, and trillions and trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars invested. Then planet earth will be saved and alot of people will become very wealthy in the process. It has not and never will be an issue of saving the planet. We could not save the planet no matter how many trillions of dollars we try and invest. That does not mean we should all be good stewards of our planet. That means we humans should understand what we can and can't do to help keep our planet clean. The bottom line is nothing more than money, control and power. America is being told that in 10 years or so we will only be able to buy electric vehicles. There is nothing wrong with electric vehicles if you choose to buy one. There should be a problem with being told that is the only vehicle you can buy. How long before the only hamburger you can eat will be vegetable based faux meat? This can only happen because the American sheeple let it happen. Some of you stupid people are being conned into thinking you are helping to save the planet.
