Gutty effort by the Spiders. In just a few years SoCon has gone from "easy out" to "watch out". Nobody would have relished a first round game against HP either.

Very true. Hope this does not scare off teams scheduling SOCON teams before conference season starts.

This "scare" factorwould only apply to a couple of SoCon programs. Don't forget there were members of the conference that lost to or struggled with first year programs and other unheralded teams.

Don't worry. Believe me, I completely understand. I have a son going to VMI next year to play lax so we will see that up close and personal.

Best of luck at VMI. The program seems to be going forward. All individual program improvements only helps the entire conference.
