Heard they interviewed Nick Saban, Muffet McGraw, Dawn Staley and Geno Auriemma...

If they want to get good candidates, then they have to stop searching like they did for the last coach. 17 years later and that didn't come close to working, so it's time to forge ahead and act like you care. There is a group of terrific assistants(from the top programs) itching to get a shot at being a HC. That's the direction to go and not trying to poach a HC from another program...unless they are willing to pay the money that someone of that caliber would deserve.

Who did they try to poach? I haven't heard anything, even rumors about this search.

Both assistants were recruiting at Summer Genesis this past weekend.

Bedford and Graziano? Did they retain the assistants?

They were both there in Rutgers gear.

Bokker to OSU???

That's an easy decision if I was her.

She can afford to buy a house now.
She can find assistants who don't have to live in a shanty because it costs to much to live out there
Doesn't have to talk the east coast kids into coming all the way across the country.
Travel for games sucks. No-one is just down the road. Summer recruiting is closer too. Two kids at home means less travel is better.
Wasn't the AD's kid on the team at Stanford? That dynamic sucks for any coach.

Dartmouth AD just sent letter out that our rockstar head coach is leaving for Stanford. Three good years in Hanover in her first HC position. Sad to see her go. Good luck at Stanford.

Very sorry to hear this; she had the program moving in the right direction. Hope the hiring process leaves recruiting to Hanover in a decent place.

Curious, anyone surprised by this?

Given the restraints put on the program at ASU and the overall lack of support there, yes I am surprised he would leave Northwestern. However, the opportunity to be a head coach at a BCS school is tough to pass up.

Tim is a professional. Great coach and great recruiter. With the right staff in place he will do a great job.

She did a terrific job, it felt like she might stick longer but ahhh well.

I hear that there's a super strong, great fit candidate being considered...hope that happens swiftly.

I was hoping that Tim would be one of the people in line for the Rutgers job, but obviously RU doesn't care to go after talented assistants. I heard that the coach from New Brunswick Middle School had an on campus interview today. She would work PT, hourly wages, no benefits and start after school everyday. PERFECT for Rutgers!

My guess is that Tim was not going to a place where he didn't feel he could win. Whatever those restrictions were and that alleged lack of support, that stuff is either history or will be shortly. No one could win under that BS and Tim is not the guy that is going to take that and "hope" things get better.

Rutgers offered High Point head coach (Lyndsey Boswell) the HC position and she turned it down.

Of course she turned it down. Rutgers has had 6...SIX...winning seasons in the last 17 years. Boswell has been to the NCAA tournament 4 times since 2013. Bad rep and low pay = No Brainer!

What does the job pay? Seems to me it is an excellent opportunity for the right person: no where to go but up; great conference and good competition game in and game out; located in the middle of arguably the hottest of hotbeds.
