Notre Dame by 10

They win out for Repeat

what they did in ACC Tourney was rude

BFS UND too deep too strong

their 2nd midfield unit outplays most teams starters

the transfers have bedded in along with Frosh

Notre Dame May >>>>>> Notre Dame Feb

Hoyas stopped Notre Dame 24 being Maryland 22

today is payback

As far as stats and these 8 teams in the quarters: 7 of 8 teams are top 20 in shooting percentage. 4 of 8 teams are top 20 in scoring offense, 6 of 8 teams are top 20 in scoring defense, and 5 of 8 teams are top 20 in faceoff win percentage. So, ummm yeah stats are relevant to success.

Have to have better awareness late in the shot clock. Shouldn't be picking up a contested ground ball when you're 3 seconds from getting the possession for free.

GT cardinal sin on that failed clear and ND goal.

That GT SSDM just needed to keep moving his feet and they could have made the clear.

No he needed to not pick the ball up with 2 seconds left on ND's shot clock surrounded by three guys specifically standing there waiting for him to pick it up. Let the clock run out

Strange take…especially with ball in front of goal.

ND wasn't going for the ball. They wanted Hess to pick it up. Watch closer

Georgetown is playing good defense, but just feels like without Ball there's just no way to grab any momentum. Such a shame it appears he isn't fit to play today.

It’s an armchair jockey take.

When you’re fighting for gbs against ND near your net, you try to pick up the ball or take the body of a ND player. You’re not looking at the shot clock and thinking, “I’ll just stand back and let the clock run.”

Besides, 2 seconds is a long time, especially against a ND team that is great off the ground.

Agreed. A mere sweep at the net with a loose ball is a goal.

A lot of small things killing GT. Big part are gbs and FOs. A few bad turnovers by GT.

GT goalie has made some good saves. GT just playing too much D.

Don't pick the ball up when there are four piranhas standing there waiting for you to pick it up as the shot clock is expiring. This is easy obvious stuff. It also wasn't near the net. Was a good 10 yards up the field. Stick to doctor-lawyering and your botanical metaphors

Clock awareness is not an armchair jockey concept. Players with good game sense pay attention to the little things like this, and it was exhibited on this very play. There were four ND players around the ball, and not one of them went for it because they were aware of the clock and knew what the smart play was.

No one's saying the Georgetown player should have moved out of the way and give a clear lane to the goal; you box out and run out the shot clock as best you can.

When ND is winning 80% of its face offs it’s ballgame over for any opponent. This is like the 2021 GU game vs. UVA, losing their faceoff guy at Hofstra. UVA would have won anyway but this game would have been a contest with anywhere near equal possessions.
