Only free if you already get the Pac-12 TV channel via your cable subscription.

Apparently there is a workaround: Sign up for the 7-day free trial of Sling TV, select the Orange package and make sure you add the extra sports package, which includes Pac 12 Network. I just tried it and it appears to be working. You do have to enter credit card information but it doesn't charge you until the end of the trial, so just make sure you cancel before then.

I guess I'll try the radio if available and Live Stats.

Biggest question for the U today will be to see how they do on faceoffs, and how the offense plays. Defense should be pretty solid (I heard the goalie played lights out in the last couple scrimmages). Should be fun to watch!

9-2 UVM 11:02 second quarter. GBs and FOs are even but shots are 18-7 Catamounts.

Utes look pretty good on offense. Stout is a player. However it seems they have elected not to play defense. Vermont doing literally whatever it wants in the offensive end. Guys wide open on the crease and for 8-yard step downs. The Utes are late on every slide. Hopefully that gets cleaned up over the course of the season.

I know it's just one game (and Utah is not the greatest measuring stick), but I would not be surprised to see Vermont challenge SUNY-Albany in the America East this year. A very tough game for Utah to start their NCAA lacrosse experience against... things will get a little easier as they go. Utah will win a few games this year.

Not sure what Amplo saw in the scrimmage. But I saw a team that played absolutely ZERO defense. Gonna be a long season if they don’t tighten that up.

Perkins and the rest of the attack unit looked solid for Utah though.

What happened with Gilbert Sentimore? I thought he had committed to the Utes...

I thought it was a good game for Utah. A lot of good take aways and a lot to build on. They started the game well.

Josh Stout and Jimmy Perkins are great lacrosse players. Jake Stout and others looked good too. Utah had 6 goals and 29 shots in their first game against a very good Vermont team. They have many positive take aways for their first game.

Liam Donnelly did well in goal, but saw too many shots in tight with soft defense. As Henpecked pointed out, they have a lot of work to do on defense. Vermont did an excellent job of passing and shooting in tight. Vermont is probably better than they were last year, and they were excellent last year.

Utah will have a better time with Mercer, Hofstra, Air Force, Furman, and Bellarmine. But, they need to play defense at a different level than they are used to in the MCLA. Time will tell if they have the right talent and can adjust.

It was a great night. The Pac-12 did a nice job covering the game. The Utes should celebrate the good parts of their first game.

I don't think @Hofstra is going to be easier for the Utes. Hofstra outscored UVM 9-6 last week.

I just think it's ridiculously cool that their first DI game is with another DI team that hails from 2,000+ miles away.

Congratulations to the Utes!

Vermont get ambushed? Man was I completely wrong on that one! Vermont was bigger, stronger, and faster. Absolutely agree the Ute D needs to tighten up but on O, the majority of the Utes shot selection was ill advised and they ended up having a catch with the VT goalie.

I think Ute goalie play was ok tonight, and not completely sold on him like most. Then again, as everyone has already pointed out, little support around him.

Hofstra is not going to be easier. Still happy to see Lax out West and excited to watch the newcomers grow over the years, it's great for the game.

Too bad Vermont does not play Hofstra this year. I have not seen a ranking that doesn't have Vermont above them. UVM is loaded with talent and excellent coaching.

I do think the Hofstra game will be hard for the Utes, especially in Long Island :)

Upon further research, I see that the Hofstra Pride defeated Vermont, 9-6, last week in a scrimmage at Syracuse.

I take back my comment about Hofstra being easier
In the Pride's first scrimmage of the day against Vermont, who were America East finalists in 2018, junior midfielder Ryan Kinnard tallied two goals and one assists, classmate and co-captain Ryan Tierney added a goal and two assists and sophomore Dylan McIntosh contributed two goals to pace Hofstra. Red-shirt sophomore Riley Forte, sophomore Dominic Pryor, and seniors Joe Cuccias and Jimmy Yanes all chipped in with one goal. Sophomore Brian Herber won 12 of 17 face-offs while sophomore goalie Jacob Coleman made four saves in the Pride goal.

I hadn’t realized Jimmy Perkins had transferred over.
Got his degree and now his doing post grad at Utah.
2 years left.

Had an All NEC year at RMU during their good run last year.

With lax season starting so early, it is possible to combine a little skiing at Alta with Utes lax.

Vermont is a very good team, dont be misled by Hofstra scrimmage a played subs extensively in their 2nd contest of that day. Expect Utah to hang around for awhile with Hofstra

Utah is going to be a good program in time given staff and large region to recruit from.

No evidence on PAC 12 network of any upcoming Utah lacrosse games.
