1/2 Towson’s goalie just made 4 awesome saves in (about) the last 5 game minutes or so
I’m guessing that’s a backup, 3rd qtr.
Stout ?

Here’s twitter updates on scrimmage.

Jake Stout is the starter and I assume will be. Brennan is injured. Was on a scooter. Team looked terrible in the first quarter against Bucknell, but played better in second half. No Goodrich, No Sovero, No Monahan and No Malooff. So no first-team midfield. I didn't see Luke Fromert out there, who I thought would take over for Weiss. Tim Montgomery was playing the feeder role from behind. Sunday and Brody McLean on attack. Casey Wasserman looked pretty good at midfield and can play some attack. Jake McLean and Grey Ey, are two-way speedsters. Seemed like defensivley were was a lack of communication. They were giving up point blank shots and as far as I know, everybody played. Sure, they missed Goodrich but Stout has been there since the fall. Koby Smith is going to be a star, especially with the new shotclock rules, though we struggled in the clearing game to get over midfield in 20 seconds. Like Bodden was well. Seems like a ton of guys were missing for various injuries. I assume they were being careful with Goodrich. Not so sure about the others.

Heard Nads on Glenn Clark Radio mention that they had 21 guys who had missed practice. Goodrich was hopefully coming back for the UVa scrimmage.

How do you have that many injuries? Didn’t practice just start?

Does make zero sense that student-athletes get the flu when everybody should be getting flu shots in October.

As for today in the scrimmage against Virginia, seems like we played a lot better. Up 7-5 at the half and lost 13-10. Don't know who played and wonder if we played our starters just the first half or through three quarters (when we got outscored 6-0).

Thanks for the info on the UVA scrimmage. Nothing from UVA fans so far.

Report from a friend at the scrimmage today was that the Tigers looked good. Controlled the scrimmage when the starters were in. Up 7-3 late in first half and finished up 7-5 at half. Tiger starters looked more athletic and aggressive. UVA depth prevailed in 2nd half as starters sat. Only a scrimmage but sounded positive for Towson. Good luck this season!

I Heard Both teams were playing it like a regular season game and it was valuable for both programs. I am not sure reports that Towson sat their starters after the half is correct and that doesn't even make much sense. With the season about to open for both teams, reps are needed for starters. Woodall took draws till deep in the 4th and Monahan scored Towson's last goal, with about 2 minutes left in the 4th. Aren't they amongst the Tigers best players? Good luck to Towson this year.

So, who is not playing this week? Injuries? Any new faces that can contribute on offense ? This schedule is possibly the best strength of schedule Towson has ever had. 13 games, 8 playoff teams from 2018. Also, five teams are preseason top10.

Tiger have one hell of a schedule this year.

The good news, this team is loaded with players who have enjoyed success, when the team embraces the culture. Staying focused and buying in will make all the difference this season.

Woodall is back to peak form and will be the delta all season. Goodrich needs to stay healthy.

What I am looking forward to seeing, again, are players who are focused on doing their 1/6....it works.

Suspect the Tigers will do well at the center X and in the middle of the field. Woodall, Goodrich and Smith/Patti are all very experienced.

With veteran keeper Brennan out, the edge has to go to Hopkins.

@ Homewood Towson has self destructed. Towson is athletic, but they have to play smart. Turnovers numbers in 2018 for Towson were unacceptable for any team. Woodall won the majority in 2018 vs Hop. but it meant nothing because they got in a hole early. Who can really predict. If I’m Towson- dont throw the ball away!! Let’s Hop. get less touches. Woodall is top 3 Fogos in the country. The clock will be a factor. Cold - reel feel 30’s.

Student-Athlete Spotlight: Zach Goodrich. Great player, better teammate.
