Elephant rescued from Vietnam War escorted back home after escaping from New York animal sanctuary

An elephant rescued from Vietnam decades ago is back safe and sound after escaping from an animal sanctuary in Orange County.

Authorities in Westtown said they received a call around 11:35 p.m. Sunday night about a loose elephant on William Laine Road that apparently wandered away from her barn.

The owner of the sanctuary says 44-year-old Fritha was able to escape due to human error after her nightly feeding ...






Tonight, she's back home.

17 year old Sophia Flörsch crash - she was injured and is recovering. The driver in the yellow car she hit was ok. Obviously, the tires were cold and she is inexperienced (did F4 last year and was promoted to F3 this year).

Looks like they left out the part right after where she corrects herself and says something like "3 chambers of government, the senate, the house and the white house". It's an awkward turn of phrase but technically correct.

It's amusing seeing people get so riled up over this woman, it's like they're scared of her.

Think this fits well in the unique thread....30 yrs old, but certainly unique (and beyond).
Don't know how this could have happened to a better suited family, or how it could have turned out any better (TBC, but so far, so good). Better than a Walt Disney movie, nary an animal dies and still a happy story. Am still traumatized by Old Yeller. Wonder if I could get a Med MJ card for that?
