Best class ever? They haven’t evenly played their junior years of HS. And two of the middies, Bilello and Matteo are tiny. Very good players and tough, but Bilello is about 5-8/145lbs, if he doesn’t physically mature I’m not sure he’ll have that big of an impact. Rottura is maybe 5-7. He too is a good tough player. But I’ll need to see these guys develop before they get the “best class ever” label. The 2012 and 2013 classes were pretty darn good. Molloy, Kelly, Larkin, Caputo, yozzo-scap, Tullet, Bellestri

Will appreciate posts on Brown fallball, alumni game etc open to public. I see women's alumnae game 10/14.
Thanx

ETA: Will be curious, once the current recruitment rules have been in place a bit longer, to see numbers on retention rates of commits. Interesting potential looks: retention by school, by conference (moves from 1 Ivy to another not counting as a move), and by division. Coaching change disruption could be factored in too.

Did Brown have a scrimmage Saturday night—can anyone confirm and possibly offer some color?

Great recruiting by Brown this year -- a share of an Ivy title and a lot of buzz (call it the "Larken Kemp effect" -- love his Twitter feed and his "ride or die for Bruno" attitude) and obviously a lot of hard work by the Brown coaching staff has led to an impressive 2024 group going to Providence. Loving seeing all these great athletes appreciating the best of Ivy League lacrosse.

Israel was very skilled at pole, but lacked the cohesion on offense needed to beat the organized Brown team. Wish it wasn't played on the practice field, needed a bigger game environment.

Might end up being 8 of 12 slots filled...
Hearing that a 4 star 2024 has already decommitted and committed to a new home. Larken is going to be pissed.

The lord giveth and the lord taketh. Bears added another 4-Star this week in Ennis Udo out of Malvern Prep, will play football at Brown too and had an ACC football offer.

Turns out it wasn't a 4-star who decommitted.

Turns out... he's a NLF 4 star- my mistake. Should've specified. Either way though, Brown > UM

Attack, D. McLane for sure. T. Glavin for continuity, although as last years 4th attack (until Cook went down for the year) he wasn't even on EMO: Brown went with 3 attack/3 mid.
Everything else depends on fallball and spring showings.

Mids TYK & junior Jack Kelly will see the field based on last year, but who makes the jump from practice player to fulltime, or d-mid to o-mid? And how fluid will guys be between O, D, and 2-way?
Last year was the first time in my admittedly imperfect memory when Bruno had 2 o-mid lines where the second actually posed some threat. IF they could run a second in the past (pre-shot clock of course) it was a "pass it around, give the scorers a rest, don't turn it over" line.
Bears have not been that deep. I think most Ivies would say that about midfield until recently (excepting ancient history, i.e. 20th century 😉)

2023 roster posted: only 4 freshmen, none of the transfer names, so someone may have hit 'publish' prematurely. 🤷🏻
No '23 schedule yet.

The four freshman they list are the four they "welcomed" yesterday via Twitter/Instagram. I assume they'll continue to welcome the other freshman/transfers this week, and add them to the roster as they do so.
