Curious how Queens dropped from #1 to the #4 seed? Anyone know how that works?

These four games were ridiculously good :

Stonehill 11, Adelphi 13
East Stroudsburg 13, West Chester 12, OT
Indianapolis 13, Grand Valley State 9
Queens 16, Florida Southern 13

Stonehill -Adelphi , was a really good game. The loss for Stonehill is their Final game as a member of D2, as of next season they will be moving to D1.

East Stroud - West Chester , this has really happened in the changing of the guard. WCU used to be automatic in the PSAC and in the National Rankings. The ascension of ESU has been remarkable and a credit to their HC Xeni Barakos-Yoder.

UIndy - Grand Valley State , UIndy has come with strong back to back efforts in defeating GVS yesterday and taking down defending D2 NC Lindenwood last Friday. They will be in serious contention.

Queens - Fla. Southern , very exciting game with Queens mounting a 4th quarter comeback against the 2016 D2 NC, and winning by 3. Queens is very talented and this will be their last season of D2 competition.

The Division 2 Final Four will be action packed and exciting. Try and catch some of that action on Friday May 20th.

Gotta agree with you their Larry. They were really good games. I only had screens to watch a couple at the same time but the ones I watched (all but queens-s.fla...not to mention trying to skip some D1 action as well) were excellent. I have yet to see Queens play more than a quarter or two and that was in a blow out. I am looking forward to seeing them this week.

ESU is tough defensively. They move the ball well offensively. They played WC 4x and won 3 of them. Not an easy feat. The ESU coach definitely has her troops well tuned fundamentally.

In the Indy-Adelphi game it will be interesting to see if Indy can figure out the zone that flummoxed them the first time. Adelphi needs to figure out the draw and what to do if Indy tries to take McCabe out of the picture with a face-guard again. I gotta believe the Adelphi staff will be ready for that.

Looking forward to the games.

Good competitive game. Sloppy at times but fun to watch. ESU wins in OT on a fast break goal for the second week in a row.

Another good game in game 2. UIndy figure out just enough of the zone to win 11-6. Big difference was at the circle where Indy dominated the draw (14-7) and possession. Adelphi's zone is impressive but Indy had just too many opportunities. Adelphi goalie played well with 9 saves. Indy defense played well. Each goalie for Indy made some timely stops and good help. It was an entertaining game.

This game was good until halftime. Adelphi really struggled on the draw. That’s something that needs work. It was the same the first time these two played earlier in the season. Adelphi’s offense looked like a different team than the one that beat Stonehill last week. Very flat. Seemed disconnected. They are missing an attacker I believe to injury and can’t seem fill the void. Number 5 was fire last week. I couldn’t tell if they had her locked.
It was a weird broadcast. Silent. Couldn’t hear the crowd or players. Indy draw girl is very strong They played a great game. They will win the ship in my opinion

5 was face guarded by 5 on Indy. Locked her off pretty much the entire game. The Indy draw girl is very, very good and the circle team works extremely well together. Good combination of height and speed on that circle but Romig can draw to herself which she did often.

I do not see the Stonehill game but I think the offensive looking flat was a bit due to the Indy defense. They are fast.

We had sound...the lady who did UNC-SB. She was more subdued than the night before.

Do not know who will win Sunday. Should be a good game. ESU has to figure out the draw. ESU plays tight man defense but Indy has good quick attackers who drive hard. Indy needs to figure a way to slow down #24 for ESU who is a fantastic player. They both match up well offensively and defensively. Hopefully it will be a good game.

I enjoyed both Semi-Final games. ESU winning was a surprise to me, because Queens is a very good team with strong talent. The passion and Grind of the game by both teams was impressive. East Stroud never gave up and I never felt like Queens was in control of the game. Congrats to the ESU players and Coaching Staff.

The Adelphi - UIndy game was an eye opener. Why? Not just because UIndy won, but it shows a change on the Lacrosse landscape. of the 32 woman roster that makes up the AU team 30...THIRTY...are from Long Island or NY State. It stands to reason that they would have a strong program with NY, and LI specifically, being the Hotbed of Girls HS and Club Lacrosse. Talented players are everywhere in that state.
On the other side, there is UIndy. Out of the 29 woman roster, ten players are from NY. They have six players from British Columbia, Canada. Wow, the Canadian players are everywhere. This roster has a lot of players from a number of places, BUT, they make it work. It was apparent that UIndy was on the same scale with any D2 team. They beat AU yesterday and they competed with a tenacity and determination that AU did not match consistently. It was a terrific game to watch for me.

Tomorrow...UIndy vs ESU. The ESU win over Queens was very impressive. However, I think the UIndy win over Adelphi was a bit more impressive, thus my pick will be UINDY!
