I agree, she has a hard time keeping up in the ACC. Also hard for someone that tall to win a groundball scrum. Duke has very good circle players as well, but Jenner herself is pretty easy to neutralize by just putting it into space.

Maddie Jenner has 25 goals. I’ve seen her go to cage and score plenty of times—“lead feet” and all. She might not have the speed to chase down a draw, but she’s got plenty enough to drive and score.

As a former DI player, I can tell you, in 2021, this is a SPEED game. Bottom line: See Gilbert, Lauren.

Maddie Jenner’s got enough speed to score 25 goals. Huge number of draws to her credit—180. Her supposed lead feet aren’t preventing her from putting up big numbers on the draw and a decent number of goals scored.

I was prompted to respond by your original lead feet remark—not on whether speed is important or if I would take Lauren Gilbert over Maddie Jenner in a pick up game. (I would)
Former D1, eh? Women’s D1 or men’s D1?
