After week 2, totally as expected, no movement in the poles regarding who you believe or is the Mobster in Chief exonerated. Barr's gambit has failed to gain anything and the backlash (only 6 points available) is yet to come.

Russia now faces the risk of ticking off the U.S. Senate again, a Senate that has a penchant for hitting them with sanctions ever since Trump was elected. The last sanctions law cited “election meddling,” poisoning a former Russian spy named Sergei Skripal in the U.K., and Russian backing of Syrian leader Bashar Assad as reasons for sanctions against Russian banks and energy firms.
What once began as sanctions for punishing Russian aggression towards Ukraine has moved well beyond that. If Maduro sticks around longer than most people hope, and if the Russian government is seen as aiding that, investors should look for another round of sanctions designed to punish Russia for its role in Venezuela.

You are half right. There will be no backlash since we're not going to see anyone in handcuffs.
Crazy thing about Trump -- no matter what he does, he never gets less popular. And never gets more popular either.
My pet theory about Barr, fwiw. I think he and Mueller and Rosenstein agreed to give Trump his apparent victory with the 4-pager so that DOJ would have cover/breathing room so they could prepare the report for release. Can you imagine the shirt storm that would be howling now if Barr had said (i) nothing at all or (ii) had said something bad about Trump without the back up of the full report?
I still think these guys are mostly just trying to land the plane (getting the report out) and then letting Congress and voters handle it. Looks kind of like what Comey was trying to do. Keep DOJ/FBI out of the middle of the political hurricane.
