what is the theory on why you can't combine need based and athletic? That seems like it should be allowed, what am i missing?

NCAA allows merit and financial provided the student has a high enough GPA or SAT - not sure how it works for transfers.

i thought you couldn't leave the portal once you were in it? not until you were transported to whatever campus you were headed to in the fall, even if it was your original one.
i believe there are portal laws around somewhere.

There it is, expected it, but still sucks to see it apparently now that it's official as the Griffs lose Onondaga transfer GK to the portal. I had heard he was a Utah target when he headed to Onondaga initially. I wonder if that's where he ends up now to help that young GK corp being an Idaho native? Would make sense I guess, especially with Liam Donnelly's departure to Albany.
