It’s certainly worth remembering that Avenatti was the preferred candidate for a significant number of Democrats, and to this day, uses a donor list of hysterical Democrats to solicit money to pay his living expenses. And they do so, gladly, as Avenatti was according to lore the one to show other Democrat how to beat Trump (in the end, only Trump could beat Trump, which he assuredly did, and still does to this day).
The Avenatti situation is sad, to be honest, as this guy has three children. He will ultimately be convicted of three separate crimes with three separate trials, and as a result, will have to serve each sentence consecutively, not concurrently. And the prison time is adding up fast. Had he had an ounce of humility, he would have negotiated a universal plea with the feds, pleading guilty to certain charges in exchange for no separate trials, and he would have spent 1/3 the time in federal prison.
Democrats were as attracted to a sleazeball camera hog as Republicans with Trump. I think Avenatti would ultimately have won the Democratic nomination had he not had legal problems. The amount of free media time this guy got from CNN and MSNBC is stunning,

Oh totally. FoxNews doesn't exist, and neither do independent voters, and neither does the American Center.

On any relative scale, Fox News personalities are very few in numbers. When you line them up against the entirety of NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, Wapo, the NYT, and really almost every newspaper left and local media as well as social media, you’re talking about a tiny number.
What you aren’t talking about is how desperate Americans are to get non liberally slanted news.
