Nobody listens to the clown shoes on either side. Ever watch a show called Portlandia? It’s like ten years old now. Most people mock the Pacific Northwest mercilessly. I have an idea because I have a nephew who graduated (played baseball) at a school 45min from Portland called Linfield and a niece who’s a rising Jr at another called Lewis and Clark (got a better package from HWS thanks to me, waitlisted at Colorado College, didn’t want to go across country a felt the HWS culture was too much about popped collars and coke which may be my fault but a shame as she is doing environmental science and the lake and Cornel Ag station present a lot of opportunities) so I’ve seen their grip on reality.

Democratic politicians especially the institutional types (ie Biden, at this point warren is in this group, etc) pat lip service and will pat Bernie and AOC on the head but they’re just outliers. Exactly. The zone covered roughly 5 square blocks, one of those a sports field. The vast majority of the activity in the zone over the period of "occupation" was nothing much changed from normal activity. Hardly Paris in 1968.
