A phone video of the mighty entrance - what you don't realize just by that is Hopkins had been standing and throwing the ball back and forth for over 10 minutes. I had great seats for the game and if you know Petro - you know the look. I ordered 2 fried eggs off his forehead. Maybe I shouldn't lay the blame so much at Duke's feet. ESPN/NCAA/refs all had to buy in I guess or Duke would have been hit with a delay of game if not unsportsmanlike. Still, Dino shuld have waived it off and said we are not going to treat our opponents like that.

Predictions? I say Hopkins by at least a few. Don't forget they have more to play for. Navy pretty much definitely needs to win the Patriot League to make the postseason. The Hop's hopes for an at-large are still very much alive.

Vegas reads Massey? https://masseyratings.com/clax2022/3657
But your take sounds reasonable to me.

3.5 sounds conservative to me.

I'll be happy with +1.

Navy always scares me. Those guys just keep coming, wave after wave, even when they are behind big.

Did the announcer just call Hopkins a “former lacrosse power?”

 :o

Epstein wide open on the wing asking for the ball.

Kirson with an amazing save.

Wait, what? Is clearing a thing in lacrosse?

not sure what to say about the clearing at this point. it's not just a lack of speed but now they can't throw or catch during the clear. it's psychological now. in their heads.

navy is putting their best defenseman on angelus

The inability to clear is getting absurd. Very little awareness. No composure. I get that our SSDMs are playing well on the defensive end, but there has to be at least one that isn't a liability in the clearing game.

Four blown clears in the first quarter. Blue Jays are the worst clearing team in college lacrosse. They will see aggressive rides for the rest of the season.

At this point, they should be practicing nothing but clearing the ball against aggressive rides.

Martin just easily ran by two guys and cleared himself. where has that been all year?

They’re fine when they move and pass the ball upfield quickly, before their opponent can set up the ride. It’s those lateral passes in the defensive zone that’s killing them.

Ten Hopkins turnovers already, with five minutes left in the second quarter.
