Who's Ron? You lost me.
Yep. He's opening the State. You're going to run out of things to complain about soon....
Actually, PB didn't read this article either, at least not with any comprehension...May is going to look a lot like April according to the Gov, they don't have the testing yet. "Marathon" he says "will make the sprint look easy"
And that's just the stuff the State of Colorado says citizens CAN'T do.
What Pete and the other "open it all now!" nutjobs don't want to hear is that the free market ain't gonna just flip a switch in a week.
That's when Trump will wake up and realize "Oh *hit. That piddly $1,200 is a fraction of what's needed".
Assuming, of course, Trump doesn't want to head into an election with 15%+ unemployment.... And if University Campuses aren't open this fall? That's exactly what you'll get.

Who doesn’t love Neil Gorsuch!!!!
Roberts is a corporatist tool but obviously better than the other birdbrains not called Gorsuch he has to share the court with. Sotomayor probably couldn’t even understand the case. RBG is comatose.
Gorsuch is a better clearer Scalia. Score one for Trump! Give me 8 more Gorsuch’s.
pure troll

Me, I don’t love Neil Gorsuch. I don’t hold it against him personally that he is illegitimate, however. Not his fault that McConnell is a traitor to the constitution.
It is still early in his tenure, but there are indications that he doesn’t play all that well with others. He’s a new kid on the block, but he tries to act like he has been there for decades. My comment about Roberts not assigning him opinions to write was tongue-in-cheek, but his ability to build consensus and even majorities will suffer if he can’t work well with his colleagues.

Gorsuch is so far and away the smartest Supreme Court justice that it is not even a fair fight. Roberts is smart just not that smart, but he is also very much into the practicality and camaraderie game, therefore his 'conservative' principles are suspect.
In 100 years, students of the Supreme Court will be talking about Gorsuch, and not about any of the others currently sitting on it.

Both are
very smart guys. Both attended Catholic high schools, both Ivy undergrad, both Harvard Law.
I like Roberts' life story better, less privileged...also a pretty darn good athlete.
On the academic front, Roberts a notch better, summa cum laude at Harvard, Gorsuch cum laude at Columbia, Roberts magna cum laude at Harvard Law, Roberts was cum laude at Harvard Law, Roberts was managing editor of the most prestigious law review in the country, Gorsuch one of the editors of another law review there.

sorry PB, you said that Gorsuch is way smarter than anyone else on the bench. Roberts is smart just not that smart.
Just factually incorrect by any comparative measure.
And I didn't even need to compare to others on the bench.
Gorsuch's closest ally in his textualism is the Justice widely considered 'less smart' than the very brightest of the bunch.
So, no props to Gorsuch there, either.
But no, I don't hire based on college GPA or grad GPA.
If a young person, I don't ignore it, I do weight proven excellence, but I'm looking for a lot more than GPA.
Hired a youngster as a programmer 18 months ago who had bounced around academic subject areas at Tulane, was painfully shy and had failed to land career track job, making sandwiches in a sub shop...but during college and the ensuing year and a half had taught himself in computer science, diverse practical languages and tools, built dozens of working projects for his own amusement...now our best young programmer. Very bright, just hadn't found his path earlier. He's also gained terrific confidence and poise for his age under our help, does very well with clients. I wouldn't put him in a sales job, but in his world, he's crushing it.
I also wouldn't evaluate the performance of a Justice based solely on how "smart" they are. There's more than just brain power involved, though certainly at the level these folks are, you're simply not in the game if you can't keep up intellectually.
but you were flat wrong.

No matter how many links you throw up (and given your propensity to put up links that do not support your position) your claim that Gorsuch is the "smartest" of the SC justices it your OPINION, and cannot really be backed up by any real facts. And any of those links you throw up also contain a lot of opinion.
You don't seem to understand the difference between opinion and fact. The correct answer should be you think that Gorsuch is the smartest, but you have no way of actually proving it.
Same with your opinion of the intelligence of the other justices.

Pete, first of all, you have no idea who is smarter between Gorsuch and Roberts. Nor do I. I suppose your posts in this regard are amusing to you, but they don’t add anything of substance to the discussion.
More importantly, your deflection to the issue of “intelligence” misses the point of my post which was that Gorsuch has a developing reputation, early in his tenure on the Court, of not being able to work particularly well with the other justices. He could be the smartest human ever on this earth, but if he can’t persuade others on the Court to agree with his positions, he won’t be particularly effective in advancing his conservative agenda.

Where does one learn of this developing reputation of Gorsuch? Are you in chambers with the justices? Or are you relying on that famously non-partisan media of ours which clearly never sets upon narratives partial to what the DNC needs? Which is it?

It’s got nothing to do with his conservative leanings. Scalia was an archconservative, of course, but he was well liked by his fellow justices. His friendship with RBG was well known.

Jeez, all this, and Kagan is likely smarter than both of them. And to say that Gorsuch writes better than Nino is just laughable.
I like Roberts's story better than Gorsuch's as well. Gorsuch grew up in elite GOP circles, and grew up with every advantage. And -- for what it's worth -- a friend of mine clerked at the 10th Circuit and said that Gorsuch was widely, umm, less than admired.
I don't post about aircraft specs and the private aircraft industry.

Be prepared to hate Amy Coney Barrett!! Smarter than Gorsuch, attractive, well-spoken, well-liked, and unfortunately for Dems, a bit of a Constitutionalist freak, and will take RBG's seat as soon as it's free.

You're holding your IQ scale upside-down if you think she's smarter than Gorsuch.
And why is "attractive" on your list of attributes? Is Gorsuch "attractive"?

This smartest justice question has a very simple answer. It involves Alex Trebek. You get all nine justices and you have a Jeopardy tournament to find out who the smartest justice is. It ain't all that complicated people. The one problem would be coming up with the proper categories to challenge each and every justice as too what they really know. I would suggest a very heavy tilt toward the constitution and various legal decisions from over the years. See, problem solved.
