I know at Loyola McNulty, Schafer, Savio, Lindley, Olmstead, Wigley, Cain and others stayed and played (most started or were second line). This NECESSARILY took play time from freshmen like McGorry, Dixon, Roman, Houlihan and others. Same thing happened this year and same next. Kamish, James, Poitras, Pacheco, and others staying a fifth year and starting will take play time away from freshmen and sophomores. It’s just basic math as well as reading comprehension.

To add to Former Hound, Loyola and other Patriot League schools do not redshirt (unless medical) so those kids that still haven’t gotten much of a chance, if any, do not get an extra year themselves. The names you mention get one maybe two years to get on the field when it looked very different when they were recruited as high school juniors.
