I don't agree with Trinity re Bernie and why he lost, but Silly statement, 6ft.
There's zero evidence that Biden himself has actually done anything wrong...his son did, however, allow his name to be his chief asset in getting paid a boatload of money by a foreign company looking to upgrade its image by adding such 'names' to its board. Unseemly, even a little disgusting that this sort of thing goes on, but it does, regularly. Neither illegal or actually "dirty".

Now, if Biden himself had arranged for that company to get contracts they wouldn't have had or some other way, etc, then, sure, that would be "dirty".

But we're looking at epic levels of graft and self-dealing with Trump himself, and his family.
Are you going to tell us that you think they're "dirty"?
It's orders of magnitudes greater.
So, go ahead.

I'm certainly willing to say that about the dad, and Jared, but I'd put Ivanka's Chinese patents in the same bucket as Hunter's paycheck...we don't know for a fact that there was a quid pro quo. But given the way there appears to be absolutely no ethical boundaries for the Trumps, I'd be more disposed to be critical of Ivanka as well. But I'm not sure.

Brilliant. Why would we expect anything else. This is "governing" to Donald Trump.

I think it will tell us all we need to know about Bernie in how he handles this moment. He's lost and he undoubtedly knows it.
The moment has passed for the 'revolution' message. Circumstances beyond control. And now coronavirus.

I think having a 'debate' is fine, but Bernie should entirely avoid any backward looking attacks. He can talk about the forward policy positions he prefers and why Dems should embrace them, but attacking Biden at this point would be a huge political mistake.

If he really cares about the issues, and I think he does, then focus on making the case one last time with a national audience (at least for the next few months).

Similarly, focus on beating Trump and making common cause in that regard.

Seems to me that Joe should do the same, making clear that he cares about the issues, and will take a practical approach to achieving movement, if not revolution, in those areas. Focus on defeating Trump.

But if Bernie remains on attack against Biden the way he's done since South Carolina, he's just an egotist. And that may be the case.

I'm not sanguine about as big a sweeping as in 2018; it's possible to tilt the Senate but a long shot. And it would be narrow.
Most of the worst of these Trump attack dogs, apologists, and craven lickers are in safe districts/states.
Could be some more Governors and legislatures.

That said, the GOP is going to grow even smaller demographically and in footprint, at least until others like this Michigan Mayor start stepping up in the party and re-take control from the hard right.

Big damage has been done to the GOP brand.

The Michigan results should scare the beans out of Trump. Biden won every county, including those with colleges and universities. Bellweather Macomb county that went for Bernie and Trump last time, went for Biden by 17 points. White working class voters.

Yep.. Turnout also WAAAY Up in MI as well as elsewhere. If Dems and Never Trumper/centrist Republicans turn out in big numbers for Dems in 2020 DOPUS is toast and by a BIG margin espcially in the EC. So is any GOP Senator or Rep in any kind of a swing district or state.

Dems could build their majority in the House and taking back the Senate is not out of the question - AZ, CO, ME and NC could all flip. IA, KS and MT might also and would not count out even GA, KY (Moscow Mitch) and TX in the realm of possibility. Would not count out Dog Jones in AL either.

Think back to 1994 and 2008 wave elections. In 1994 House Speaker Tom Foley lost his seat - the first time a sitting Speaker lost a reelection bid since the Civil War.

and for those worried about Joe Biden - try 5 minutes of Trump word bracket to possible replace the real NCAA Hoops bracket if cancelled courtesy of last night's Daily Show/Trevor Noah - you can even vote for a specific DOPUS malaprop words and complete your bracket of them
