You have to be careful of wiki. It is largely a self-policing site. The entry for a good friend of mine says he was born 1959/60. He wasn't. He was born in 1953, like me. He and I graduated from college the same year. Earlier versions of his wiki page incorrectly listed his place of birth.

Hang that noose out your window and drive down blue hill avenue.....BTW, it was determined that that noose was not meant for Bubba Wallace. Given the week he had and for someone on his team to see it, it makes sense for them to look into it. But they are the crazy ones. I'll try to keep it simple for you. For the same reason it's used for public hangings. Unlike other slip knots (like a running bowline) it doesn't automatically tighten when you pull on it. That's why it's considered a more humane form of execution when used in a gallows. The drop snaps the spine, rather than slowly strangling if a slip knot is used.

The race crew could fashion a loop at the height they wanted for a garage pull rope & it wouldn't tighten up around your hand when you pull on it. If that's too complicated for you, find an Eagle Scout or Boatswain Mate to demonstrate it on you.
