I’m not willing to go that far. He has certainly left me wanting more and a lot more given his build and skill but we see flashes and given his injury history I hope he can put to together and become the player we all expected. He has been one of the Jays best midfielders this yearLawdawg100 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 12:31 pm Brendan Grimes has been nothing but a disappointment since being at Hopkins. Only 33 points in 3 years and being a top recruit as well as the #4 freshman in 2021. He needs to get it together if Hopkins wants a shot at championship weekend.
Johns Hopkins 2023

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
I’m surprised, not much St Joe talk. This is a legit team that is coming to Homewood. Probably the soft spot is the goalie. Hopkins needs to get possessions, and get shots off! A lot of older guys on the team, they won’t make mistakes.

We do not lose to St. Joes. WE WANT MORE.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Yes, Ace, who is PG’ing at Lawrenceville and looked to be part of the L’ville-JHU pipeline, has reportedly recently received football offers from Penn, Princeton and Lafayette, among others, and football is in his blood: his dad played DL at Temple and coaches football and lax in Tolland, CT, and his younger brother is a promising WR, so lax may be losing out.

Denihan and Carcaterra Never Left Homewood
Fun fact of the day (in addition to the fact that Hopkins has a lax recruit named Ace Lumpris):
Dan Denihan and Brian Carcaterra are managing partners of a real estate investment and development firm named … you guessed it … Homewood Real Estate Partners.

At 5’ 11”, 155, he might not have been picked up by the radar. Would seem to need to put on some beef to play SSDM at Hop level

I believe Ace is off to play football. Could be wrong.DocBarrister wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 9:27 pm Fun fact of the day (in addition to the fact that Hopkins has a lax recruit named Ace Lumpris):

Marcille and Degnon back, according to IL.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
we're down a f/o and 2nd midfielder. that's relative health.
excited to see the offense expand the major emo progress last week to the 6v6 this week w/return to health plus the growth of the regulars in the crawley offense.
st.joes doesn't post a game notes. savages.

40mph winds are going to play havoc with passing. Look for plenty of dodging—Collison’s game.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
40??? That's a tropical storm. My weather app is saying ~20 mph at game time. Still pretty high but not sure that's something that will drastically alter how the game is played.Hoponboard wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 12:43 pm 40mph winds are going to play havoc with passing. Wearing the all-whites today. Go Jays. Have fun at the "beer garden" for whoever's braving the winds

Plenty of 40mph wind GUSTS.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Marcille and Degnon are indeed starting but Angelus is not among the starters listed. Getting pretty sick of this

Blue Jays too slow to slide.
Holding their own on faceoffs.

Jays are looking strong. St. Jose are looking like an overrated bunch
