If you are wondering whether gender identity struggles had anything to do with the shooter's motivation, so am I. We likely will learn more from the manifesto left by the shooter. Meanwhile, I think we can wait a heartbeat.
What we do know, apparently, is that the shooter had a bunch of high capacity rapid fire weapons, "legally obtained", and used them to kill children and adults at a "Christian" school they had attended as a child. Fortunately, the killing was stopped by the police before the massacre was even worse.

Another case of parents oblivious or callous to adult child hoarding guns, cammo gear, vests, etc at their home. I just don’t understand how that keeps happening. You have to wonder if parents had tried to get her some therapy relief or just ask her to pray.
Tennessee allows open carry for 21+ and there is current legislation to make it 18+. I’ll bet that goes through with ease.

At least some self anointed, exclusionary "Christians" think that transgender, indeed any LGBTQ+, are not 'accepting Christ in to their lives" else they would reject those gender identity and sexual preference choices altogether. In their eyes (not Christ's IMO) people need to make a choice...in their view, there are only two genders and each has their role and purpose in life defined by those genders, and anything outside of such is sinful and a rejection of Christ...they "invite" LGBTQ+ to make that choice...saying they 'love the sinner, hate the sin'.
I'm not sure where youth comes down on that. Fair question.

I am speaking general terms....Christians, in general are a target by those that are not. WE see it daily, everywhere.
Media does not want to remotely touch any connotation that could be perceived as a negative WRT to LGBTQ+.
Meds in general...completely unrelated to any one demo. But in this instance, it could be testosterone or some gene therapy, or Psych meds.
I agree, we do need to wait, but we can certainly discuss hypotheticals, knowing they are not facts.

I can assure you that I don't feel I'm a "target" because I'm Christian, but then I'm not bigoted against those who aren't "Christian" in the ways that exclusionary "Christians" say they are.

As to "Media", there's a heck of a lot of "Media" that is openly hostile to LGBTQ+...or do you just mean not right-wing propagandist "media" TV, newspapers, internet sites, etc...just the 'media' where they at least attempt to exercise journalism with a broad audience? Yup, mainstream media is not going to purposely insult the LGBTQ+ community...why? Because the mainstream audience wants people treated with basic respect on those matters. Not so on hard right wing media.
The right wing has lost its sh-t on this topic ever since marriage became the law of the land. Blows their mind. Never mind that an overwhelming majority of Americans support marriage equality rights. It's not "Christian" according to right wing "believers" and the grifters who play them for money and votes.
I understand an interest in looking at whether various meds could cause a person to act violently, (totally independent of this particular person) but it's far more likely that if meds were present in such cases, they were an indication that the person was actually getting some sort of care for their mental challenges...more likely that going off of one's meds would be the trigger for a schizophrenic or such event. Not that the meds caused the violence.
