Does anyone have parking recommendations? Sounds like it will be a full house.

Get there early

But there's a couple of garages a little farther away if you can't get a spot in the one near the field (South Garage and San Martin). There's free street parking in the neighborhood near the stadium but getting a spot could be a tossup. There's paid parking on University Parkway and Charles Street, but those spots go early. There may be street parking in Hampden. You'll get a spot somewhere but may need to walk a bit!

I always park on Linkwood. You may have to park farther north than usual with the anticipated crowd. When I lived in Hampden, I walked to Homewood. Back then we didn’t have those two hour restricted areas, but as property values have skyrocketed, I think parking is more duffito find there. Linkwood does have some of that two residential bs, but it’s not in effect on weekends. For out of towners fearful of Baltimore’s reputation for crime, these are not high crime spots.

San Martin is good. UMD peeps can visit admissions for their kids along the way. If you can't beat them join them..

They need much much stronger starts. They've been outscored 8-3 and lost faceoffs 13-1 in the first quarter the last 3 weeks and some of the games haven't felt that close.

Tillmans post game press conference from the second game last year-starts at 320 from a weirdo fan/journalist site they seem to love
-They wanted to do a much better job handling the hopkins pressure
-Their research showed hopkins won all their games when they had the possession advantage and lost all of them that year when they didn't and so they wanted to get the edge there. Also something I didn't get about pace of play.
-They had deep respect for the Hopkins attack and wanted to avoid the 4 on 3 Hopkins transitions they thought they had too many of at Byrd/Secu the first time.
-They wanted to make it much more of a 6 on 6 game.

Maryland is the least and hopkins is the most penalized team in the conference. Need to manage emotions. Man up looked great last week.

This sounds an awfully like the group we faced last week and they had a strong start and dominated Hopkins early. Again goes back to winning faceoffs and the offense not taking its sweet time getting going.

With Penn States win in the books
Ideally tomorrow
Hopkins wins and Ohio State wins so its hopkins maryland penn state ohio state rutgers (tiebreaker over michigan) Michigan so penn state has to deal with Michigans faceoff guy.

I don't see what that does for Hopkins. Penn State beat Michigan 14-8 beat Rutgers 15-9. They'll get to play the game at home What's the Diff if Hopkins wins today? Michigan would have to beat Ohio State twice to get to Hopkins and that would allow Hopkins to not have to play Ohio State in Columbus again. Ohio State CANNOT finish 6th - they win the tiebreaker with Rutgers so Ohio State is going to be playing the first round game to meet the #1 seed. Defeating Maryland means way more than the #1 seed in the BIG tournament - that game just stands on its own - but if you need any extra incentive its not having to play Penn State in the semis and making Maryland do it.
