Jim Boeheim retires after 47 (FORTY-SEVEN!!!!) years as coach at Cuse. Amazing longevity.

Wish Mike Hopkins would return

The NCAA needs to restore the 101 wins that were stolen from him and the program.

I'm not so sure about this take. How did they steal them from him and the program? Nothing was stolen. Still one of the most successful coaches in NCAA history. Had his own style that was not for everyone. Over your skis here.

read the article

quote: " he had 101 wins taken away because of NCAA infractions"

Others have done far worse and they did not forfeit victories or NCAA monies.

Joe Mauer: you’re one of the reasons I started posting here. I’d read your posts then you disappeared. Glad you’re risen!

Slow start for Cuse. Cuse up 5-4 after 1Q. Olexo with a buzzer beater from the midfield line. Ultimate juice goal

Gait R Hand is classic. Another good one would be - GaitsBentPOLE. People don’t realize he created different things in lax- M & W. The offset head, the helmet, the women’s stx. The bent pole was such an advantage. Like today with these crab nets, you could not get the ball out. I was on attack, he ran by me near the midfield line, and I said to myself- his pole is bent.

Good story.
Looks like you guys played that Gait team tough that
one year.

Feel no different about the Cuse lax team, I like what I see.
Won in the manner they needed to. Limped out of the gate
but got it together and rolled. Looked good doing it too.
The Spallina critics should all be sleeping in bed at this point,
the lullaby is over, the fairytale has ended. Nice player, not
selfish (yes, pulled a Dordevic in his first game), playing good
lacrosse.
Big win for the Cuse.

Some of us do know this. Lucky enough to have tossed the ball around with Gary a couple times, my kids too.
Needless to say, my kids' sticks were bent after they saw Gary's (definitely a difference maker).

He musta had really short shorts if you could see that his pole is bent. 😉😂😂

The Hofstra game announcers started to compare Spallina to the Gaits and Powells. He is good. But I haven't seen that level of play. He may well become another great Syracuse attackmen. I'm just not ready to put him in that elite company.

I'd say it's a little early for that too.
His critics should be calming down a
little by now though.
