6) Yale - Never in doubt against a bottom half Michigan team. TD Ierlan makes them go. Full stop.
I wasn't able to watch the game, but wasn't it 9-7 at the half and 13-11 with about 8 minutes left?

I watched the game and just never felt that Michigan was really a threat to win the game. In a way, it was like the Maryland-Albany game...except Albany actually had a chance to tie the game with 30 seconds left! Dunno, maybe it was the way Yale jumped out that made me feel like the game was never really in doubt. Without Ierlan, I'd feel really different.

EDIT...oversight on my part to not rank UMass.

Normally, the return of the UVA-Maryland matchup would be the game of the weekend, and in fact that's where I'll be, but this year is a little different in that the real power conference features the games of the week as the Ivy open league play.

#1 can be a jinx. However I note Syracuse has one top 20 win (Army) while Cornell has a top 20 (OSU) and a top 5 (PSU). They go head to head on April 7th at Cornell.

Ask the team whether they want to be ranked #1 5 games in. I haven't asked but believe the answer would be no.

Being ranked #1 in early March is not that important or meaningful. There's 10 weeks of lacrosse left (provided the season is not interrupted or cancelled). The quality wins help build the resume for an at large bid in May though.

Loyola is at 12... why? You have Nova, UMASS w quality wins below them. They should be 18-20.
