Absolutely no different than Scandinavian countries. Sounds like at least one American state is following the science, and parents agree.

Sweden has decided against recommending COVID vaccines for kids aged 5-11, the Health Agency said on Thursday, arguing that the benefits did not outweigh the risks.

"With the knowledge we have today, with a low risk for serious disease for kids, we don't see any clear benefit with vaccinating them," Health Agency official Britta Bjorkholm told a news conference.

--- "low risk" not no risk. More kids will die or contract long COVID. This a political decision driven by your Fascist anti-science governor, Ronnie DeathSantis. This will be shown to be an incredibly stupid decision before the 2024 election. Go for it!

Directly above where recommending not to do something becomes not commanding them to do it...is it brain trauma or Orwellian logic? I dunno.

Told ya.....in the next pandemic, the 1%ers are going to get access to the world's best health care. Vaccines, treatments, massages, you name it.

And the poor are going to politicized disinformation, and a steady diet of "some guy on the internet".

Florida isn't going to wait until the next pandemic apparently.

Hey Pete....you still haven't told the class if you're against your Florida government's forced vaccinations.

Come on Pete....be honest for a change. You think that Florida shouldn't force vaccinations for measles, mumps, polio, etc.

Awesome. Let's bring back Polio, Pete! You and i can do it together!

We’ve been through this a few times. You may want to have a doctor check that out, man.

Vaccines with 10+ years of data = good.

Vaccines < 10 years = jury still deliberating.

Neither is actually "fascist" but hey, let's play...the idiot partisans are recommending that parents not protect their children from a virus with known deadly and/or long term harmful risks and that's just hunky dorry....because "vaccine bad", not tested for 10 years. Yet, all the data indicates that health risks from Covid far, far exceed health risks from vaccine. Not remotely close...but let's have government recommend AGAINST Protecting CHILDREN !

And you want to pretend that's simply not commanding them to either get the vaccine or not get the vaccine as if that absolves them from their dumb partisan motivated "recommendation".

Yeah, you're still playing games, Petey.

Are you for government mandated vaccinations, or not? Simple question.

Do you think Swedish and Norwegian health authorities are equally as “partisan” as Florida’s?

....there ya go, folks. Pete runs away. Government vaccine mandates are bad.

Hey Pete, I'm willing to muck in to get vaccine mandates pulled from Florida K-12. Then you and I can visit the world famous "Florida Children's Polio Hospital" right before a bite to eat with Florida's "ladies who lunch".

What a lovely afternoon that would be, Pete. When can we start?

Small difference  ...Sweden and Norway have decided 'not to recommend' which is quite different from formally deciding to "recommend not to".

That small difference is about partisan politics.
Florida is telling people not to vaccinate, Sweden and Norway aren't doing that, they just aren't going to recommend doing so, not going to put their weight behind such recommendation, though they are allowing that such may change with more data, another variant...even so, they are outliers.

Florida amps this up to a recommendation against. Calls Covid "theater".
