According to the experts on the D3 thread it may not have been his choice to leave. They are claiming the parents fired him.

in fairness i've never seen any shelly bashing. from what i heard he stepped down - heard he gave a reason as they'll never make the tournament with the conference they're in. he's responsible for making kean a pretty good program - has had some great years. he was there for a long time, maybe both sides wanted a restart.

Emory Henry just hired a guy to start July 1 - they are looking again????

Shorter head coach Jon Vance stepped down to be the head coach at Woodward Academy.

Heard Emory and Henry did zoom with some d3 head coaches and had some D2 interest.

Laird was Emory Henry’s appointee on July 11- where did he go? Why leave a month and a half after taking the helm? Not a great start for the program
