I'm pretty sure the only thing Danny Jones has to do his best, and I'm guessing that he is. If he is horrendous, seems like that is a coaching issue if they don't replace him.

Coaching issues don’t stop with Danny Jones. I can’t understand how Petro keeps him in ALL SEASON long when he has other options. Why not try to develop those other options.

Not sure how many times you have to be told this but Petro is the defensive coordinator. Dean is a pure figure head.

I know that. Just like Brian Kelly was basically forced to back off on handling Notre Dame’s offense and bring in an offense coordinator who was really going to run the offense, Petro needs someone to come in and revamp the defense. There’s no room for an “Associate Head Coach” like Bill Dwan who basically acts as Petro’s assistant rather than a defensive coordinator.

ND has had more difficult practices......

I had Hop winning this one in my bracket challenge.

They did NOT look like the team that showed up and beat a tremendous Maryland team (twice).

Why did the wheels fall off? Notre Dame is a great team but if Hop had played that dodge-pass-pass-SHOOT game they showed that they'd figured out against MD, then they would have won this thing.

Joey Ep and Foley both named honorable mention All-Americans. No other Jays on AA list. Not a surprise.
