perhaps you've missed it, but tech and some others have been claiming that if you're employed by the CDC, FDA, NIH...or any other government institution, you can't be trusted...only those outside of government can be trusted...and only if they disagree with the government experts...

I think you are being too harsh on the NIH, CDC, FDA folks. Nonetheless if this fellow can explain it and be believed by the lowest common denominator types, I am all for it, as long as I don't have to listen to it. The Cliff Notes are just fine by me.

That was my entire point.....you are educated and value being informed, you do not need little pictures or breaking down paragraphs of scientific studies. People are more inclined to listen to a/their dr, then listening to Fauci.

We have to make special arrangements for the slower members of society. The problem is not one of dishonesty of the current speakers. The problem is on the receiver side coupled with scum bags who want to make current speakers appear dishonest.

...there are people who make a living doing this kind of thing. It is not uncommon for scientists to not be the best to explain things to the less knowledgeable.
I think the scum bags are the major reason we have problems. People who understand perfectly well, but for political reasons don't want things to be understood by the less knowledgeable or represented truthfully.
