Crenshaw has become nothing more than a right wing troll; His comment is dumb...yes, the economy is hugely better today than it was 12 months ago, huge job growth, huge GDP growth, very low unemployment, big wage growth...the economy is much, much stronger...due to "stronger" Covid measures in place than existed 12 months ago. Yup, true. We can argue about where credit is due, but those are nevertheless the facts.

But what "slide deck"?

... It is my personal feeling after seeing/hearing a number of expert opinions on both sides. Those claiming it is going to be really bad, I think are doing a lot of hand waving in their argument. At this point I don't think anyone has data that says it is going to be really bad. Of course that could change in a couple weeks time.

Crenshaw is using U3 rather than U6. U3 doesn’t account for differences in the state level to define what is unemployed and the states that have low UE rates on this basis were the fastest to toss people off the rolls and count UE and the most narrow ways. It’s a very duplicitous deck. And to show BLS source but not define is intentionally duplicitous. Easily figured out in five minutes flipping through BLS but that deck is nazi propaganda not any real analysis designed to stimulant discussion.

To wit-the largest MOM and YOY non farm job increases were in a Cali, Tx, Fl. Don’t see those rural redneck states anywhere up there in raw numbers they just limited the scope more and the larger wealthier cities chose to provide longer and broader benefit packages.

That certainly is a bold statement. I hope you are right but you are calling game 4 of the 7 game series after the first inning.

I have read opinions from both sides as well....all I can take away is that we have no clue now. I truly hope you are correct. We will see in a week or two.

 ...12 mos ago vaccines were just becoming available & there were very few therapeutics available.
Of course the economy has improved steadily as the lockdowns were lifted. Duh.
Tell it to Crenshaw...I thought is was a "duh" too. He apparently didn't.

Much "stronger Covid measures"...includes vaccine availability, distribution and mandates, as well as therapeutics...all translating to much higher consumer confidence, business confidence.

"duh".
So you agree with Crenshaw. He was giving Klain a "duh".
Biden told us we were back to normal by last 4th of July, thanks to his inspirational leadership.

Yeah, Biden's been doing a great job stopping covid at our southern border. Compare that to his travel ban for a mutation that the South African docs say only causes mild symptoms.

Biden can't convince the courts that his mandates are legal or Governors that they are worth the damage they'll do.
53% of the TX Army National Guard remains unvaccinated. Biden has no credibility. People don't believe him.
Now blame that on Trump & the Russians too.

The vaccine work was done for Biden before he came to office. The vaccines had EUA, future orders were placed & availability was guaranteed for 3 vaccines. All Biden & Harris did was undermine vaccine confidence by saying they did not trust a vaccine developed under Trump. Therapeutics have not been publicized for fear that would reassure the vaccine hesitant & deniers.
No, Crenshaw was saying Klain was wrong...he was not.
Crenshaw's comment is dumb but like I said, he's just become a troll.

Had he wished to say "duh...OF COURSE the economy is stronger as more people have become vaccinated"...he could have. But no, he said that Klain's accurate statement was "stupid".

Frankly, I don't care about the credit...it's simply factual that the economy is super strong because the measures addressing COVID are much stronger than they were a year ago.

Vaccine development was great.

Yes, the Biden and Harris comments didn't help, but the concerns about early release without data were justified...and I doubt that anyone's hesitancy today is driven by those comments from before release. Nope, their opinion carried no weight then or now with the current deniers.

But there was no distribution plan for vaccines. Trump himself hid that he was vaccinated, didn't encourage others.

Do you really think that Trump wouldn't have grabbed onto the anti-vax movement if Fauci was pushing for people to get vaccinated? Pushed ivermectin?

And are you calling me "left wing"???

Eventually found it...you're right, "intentionally duplicitous". "propaganda".

Looked at a bunch of Crenshaw's other posts...what a troll.
Real disappointment.

Hah, yes the “plan” was to dump the problem on the states and not fund it, but technically, that’s a “plan”. But really that’s a plan to fail.

3 omicron cases now found in the US, California, Colorado and Minnesota. Only the Minnesota case had not been in South Africa recently.

How are those folks going to execute government contracts? .gov can’t tell them what to do…just keep cutting them checks.
