I was trying to think how many years there have been since 18 and company got their diplomas that the Blue Jays have entered April in this kind of bracketology shape. Sweeping Loyola, UVA, and UNC really changes the direction of a season.HopFan16 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 1:14 pm Two new bracketologies out today with very different assessments of the Jays.
One has us as the 4 seed vs. St. Joe's, a matchup with Virginia/Army in the quarters if we were to win that:

Other one has us down as the 8 seed seed vs. Penn, playing ND in the quarters again.

Jays can do themselves a huge favor by finishing conference play strong to earn a top seed. So much of tournament success is based on who you play and your path to Memorial Day. We need another big win or two to feel good about a home game. Would be super chill if they could get one on Saturday.
Beat Penn State and the odds for a bye in the big ten look good opening up the potential ncaa bid, ncaa home game and path to a top 4 seed.
Homecoming Weekend things to Watch
1. Better start at the faceoff dot and improved help from the wings. Dunn/Callahan won 2 of 13 faceoffs last year against them.
2. Bauer/Chauvette/Ayers contributing more
3. Deleted comment about a view of alumni held by some at Homewood
4. Man Down defense-it's the only category where they've slipped this year in conference from 2 last year to 4.
5. How they attack Fracyon-17 saves last year. Better ball movement, better looks, more transition.
6. Melendez continued resurgence
7. No dumb offsides penalties-a recurring theme this year
8. Building leads and finishing games
9. They held Angelus pointless last year. That can't happen.
10. Malone had 8 points and 8 gbs last year. Needs to be taken care of.
11. GBs -16 last year with -10 in saves -10 in faceoffs.
