Agreed. Nova actually took a pretty large 22 class (at least compared with most). Wonder if the new coach will honor all of those roster spots. A lot of very talented 22s aren’t committed, many better than who committed imo.

VU is a highly academic school, a school that loves it's sports programs (and fan's support them as well), and it's in the middle of the lax hotbed. If they get a big name there they could end up like SBU once they got Spallina.

Once Spallina’s son committed to Syracuse.... the rumor that had been circulating around kind of became .....maybe some truth to it ....Spallina stays in NYS teacher system - so all good there $$$...
but where is treanor going? To Syracuse again?

Yes. I’m skeptical about the Spallina part, except that Joey is headed to Cuse. He’s an island guy through and through.

The Gait part is believable.

He has a daughter who is just finishing up eighth grade. Pretty sure she attends Mount Sinai high school (or will next year) which is where Spallina lives. I think she played on the varsity this year, but I’m not positive. Never seen her play. No surprise, though, I’ve heard she’s really good. Don’t know about his other kids.

He has like a first grader And two in between. He’s staying put

There needs to a be a stronger commitment to women's lacrosse at VU, its not nearly as strong as it should be.

That certainly makes sense. We in New Jersey have been talking for years about how Rutgers is very well situated geographically to draw from surrounding areas.

Well, Villanova is very well situated as well. Even closer to MD than Rutgers. And, of course, the rich Southeast Pennsylvania area is right there.

Not saying Villanova wlax could become on a par with Villanova men’s basketball, but there is a lot of room for growth.

And none of you have any clue as to how much Joe loves where he lives. And it's important to him to win with something he built, as opposed to someone else's team.

So if the gait rumors are true. Not spallina but maybe traenor does defliese stay? And will she take any bc recruits. I would think they’ll be some changes to current roster spots as well
