Big Ten 2023
Re: Big Ten 2023
First time watching Rutgers this year on a legit TV broadcast where I can actually see the players. They look small on offense. And with the exception of Ross Scott, not particularly fast either. That is not a combo that's going to have much success against these Big Ten defenses. OSU's defensive midfield, which has really struggled throughout their losing streak, is having little issue containing Rutgers' dodgers.

There’s Knox for you FFG.

Re: Big Ten 2023
Saw he got a Man Up. Still he’s a 35-45 goal type scorer who had 25 goals last year for them and has been completely marginalized.
I am also only watching stats as I’ve got the D3 Hockey finals on watching Bart look for a title on the Ice. FY goalie is absurd.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

the ref has a cannon. some of these flag throws have had some serious velocity.
Great night for OSU. Rutgers looking at a 1 for 7 man up.

tosu stadium looks alright. probably pretty well done all around.
that field, though. might be the best looking turf field i've seen.

Was not expecting that.
Re: Big Ten 2023
I thought the Navy designs for their new building/area looked really impressive too. Not sure what other big programs are in line for upgrades/need them/are trying to raise money but you're right. Where's the band?
Re: Big Ten 2023
The problem now is when we beat RU next week it may not be a top 10 win

Re: Big Ten 2023
The turf looks very nice especially with the bright red outline. The battleship grey boxy warehouse looking building to the left of the screen is awful. Pretty unimaginative. $24,000,000 and it only seats 2,500?
Re: Big Ten 2023
That's what I was thinking and $24 million in Columbus is what $10 million worth of stuff on the east coast? And where did the $ come from?
Re: Big Ten 2023
Nice stadium, no doubt. Too bad capacity isn't more. How does it compare to UNC or Homewood stadium seating?
Agree re the tomb-like structure. The OSU should import a bunch of graffiti artists and let them loose.
While we're on aesthetics... very nice unis OSU. But geez, lose the chrome dome helmets pronto!
A red, matching-gray, or black helmet would have been perfect.
Otherwise, nice win OSU.
Re: Big Ten 2023
Homewood can physically seat about 8.5k, plus another 1-2k in standing room. Dorrance Field at UNC seats about 5k, not sure of their standing situation.tech37 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 7:21 amNice stadium, no doubt. Too bad capacity isn't more. How does it compare to UNC or Homewood stadium seating?

OSU's turf looks very nice, not a fan of the big solid building backdrop but I guess that was unavoidable. Also don't really get why the bleachers are so elevated. The first row sits like 12 feet up off the ground.
Re: Big Ten 2023
I seem to recall PSU and UNC also have large brick buildings adjacent to the field.
The smaller seating capacity is the same with ND and probably calculated from typical attendance for lacrosse games.
As far as the money for it, that shouldn't be a question as OSU athletics is loaded from football money.

Knox had a goal. OSU was 7-21 at the dot. They need Blanchard back asap if they want to have a shot at the BiG 10 title. I've heard that LaCalandra left the team. Anyone know if that is true? he hasn't been in the stat sheets lately.

I have not heard that. Although it wouldn't suprise me at all. LI guy quitting the team because the going gets tough... a tale as old as time.oldbartman wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 1:48 pm Knox had a goal. OSU was 7-21 at the dot.
