What legitimate reason would blind guy have for copying the hard drive and keeping that copy?
$$$
I can’t believe people are wasting their time on this nothing of a story. What office is Hunter running for.
We now have millions and millions of Americans who's entire political life, and interaction with their leaders, is entirely based on conspiracy theories.
It's dangerous, stupid, and sad. Getting Americans to focus on this stuff is a 1%ers dream.....focus on this stupid stuff, and you won't notice that I'm fleecing you, your family, and your fellow Americans.
I recall when in college of manually playing Abbey Road album on my turntable backwards to hear the "Paul is dead" clip
Best gig since Orson Welles snookered everybody with a Halloween radio broadcast of H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds in 1938 and had people thinking that Martians had invaded New Jersey...

I just watched a little clip of Joe Biden. He seems ready to go on with the debate. He refers to the laptop incident as a smear campaign, but does not say that the laptop isn't his son's. He also doesn't say that the emails are fake.

Pesky smear campaigns.
Pesky non denials.

CNN fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
Welles was the Borat of his time.

I guess we can at least say that that good American Joe Biden allowed the President of the United States to be impeached while knowing his son was guilty.

Funny you should mention Borat - is it not Karma that Rudy Colludy is, in fact, his own October surprise in a compromising scene with an alleged underage girl (in on the ruse with Sacha Baron Cohen) in a hotel room? If the comedian duped him so easily imagine what Derkach and the FSB folks could do.
Up there in Karmic with O.J trolling Jeffrey Toobin on Twitter for his recent indiscreet Zoom encounter with co-workers
You can't make this stuff up
Oh my, USA just dropped this bombshell article on DOPUS encounters with females over the years
"19 women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct. Here's what their stories have in common.
Allegations of women who've accused Trump of non-consensual sexual contact share many details, from forced kisses to where it took place."

How can Joe comment on the laptop or emails if he hasn’t seen them?
Rudy gave a copy of the hard drive to the New York Post and Fox News, but not Biden? Not a reliable news organization? I think we know the reason.
Joe’s right. It is a smear campaign.
It is an attempt to smear Hunter, but nothing touches Joe. Some meetings? Even if true (Joe denies), so what?
And don’t say Joe got any money out of this. We have all of Joe’s tax returns. Where is that money reported on his tax returns? Or are we also saying Joe committed tax fraud?
No substance. All allegations, without a shred of proof in those interviews. "Purported" laptop. "Appears" to be his signature. "Receipts from the FBI."
Stuff thrown up on the screen for a second or two, and then disappear, rather than be analyzed (probably because they don't really hold up).
And then Cruz pops up to offer commentary on supposed emails we still have not seen corroborating evidence of (metadata).
Anatomy of a smear campaign. And not an especially good one.

He could ask his son Hunter if he had lost his laptop.
You know something like:
"Hunter did you leave your laptop at a computer store in Delaware and then lose it?"
The answer appears likely to have been "yes".
So now Joe can't refute the laptop without probably being shown to be a liar. Thus he calls it a "smear campaign", which is true whether the laptop is Hunter's or not, yet tends to cast doubt on the laptop being the real deal.
- any gamer like myself recognizes pretty quickly that this is a very good answer for Joe to give if the laptop is his son's, dumber people probably won't be able to see this.

Even if Hunter lost his laptop, I would never let Joe say that the one Rudy has or had was Hunter’s without seeing it. One of the theories running around is that Rudy and his Russian confederates have salted the laptop with a lot of phony stuff, including fake emails.
So if Joe says the laptop was Hunter’s, it then becomes more difficult to disassociate himself from any inauthentic contents.
Actually, I would not have Joe talking to Hunter about this. Keep them separate. Only tell Joe what he needs to know.
This is a Trump and Rudy production. The burden is still on them to prove what they have is authentic. And, if it is, to persuade the American people that it means anything in the election.
Joe will no doubt have a good, solid speech about this tomorrow night. It will not be kind to Donald Trump. Nor should it.
But, I agree. What Joe has said so far has been very smart.
Keeps all of his options open.

The chain of custody is so suspect for this laptop, that whoever's it is or where it really came from is really moot as the files can be modified to be whatever they want. Add, subtract, edit/modify. A good organization can hide a lot of tracks that might expose the tampering if they have it for a while.

You don't appear to have a background in law or law enforcement. Joe will never speak with Hunter about this. The answer, so far, appears to be something that is impossible for anyone but the best, most partisan conspiracy theorist to arrive at. You're being Old Salt's gullible sidekick.

... or Peanut Butter's replacement while on leave.
If he wins, do you think Joe will effectively have to build a Cabinet that is a coalition of progressives, center Democrats and Never Trump Republicans?
