Hearing that NCAA FO Covid protocol just for this spring. Ball down first. Players must stay 6 feet away from ball until told to go down. Officials from distance give cadence. If player takes too long to set up then possession will be awarded to other team.

As I said before, it will definitely make faceoffs more competitive- more 50/50 GBs, quicker out of scrums, and allow it to be a more competitive postition- not just for specialists. Some will be stubborn and try to bring over Moto techniques, but they wont see a ton of success. This is less about power and more about quickness. Really, what's old is new again. The ones that will be succeeding will be fully embracing the new stance and grip. And shhh....don't tell anyone, but you'll also be seeing lots of techniques from the 90s early 00s.

What's odd is leaning has always been illegal. Not a new rule. So maybe refs were thrown off by having to watch out for the new rules, and forgot about enforcing the existing ones.

Your idea makes good common sense, for all the reasons you mentioned. Put this man on the rules committee!
