Tufts obviously
Midd
Williams ?

I may be alone on the island but 3 out of the 4 make it with Williams barely missing. :o

Almost certainly Tufts, Midd and one of Williams/Amherst. Decent chance both Williams and Amherst make it since I did not see too many upsets in the important conference tournaments.

Tufts and Middlebury are definite. William and Amherst are probably.

Glad I was off on this one.

It won't be easy but all 4 teams can definitely make a run based on their bracket

Isn't Midd hosting next weekend? Did I read the brackets wrong?

Selection show noted that Union is hosting Midd's group. May have something to do with the Midd women's' team hosting that same weekend.

I think Midd had to choose between hosting Mens or Womens. I don't think they can host both so the Men will play at Union.

Good luck to all 4! I am particularly interested to potentially see what Amherst’s O can do against Salisbury D that just held CNU to 4 in a second round game. Got to get there first of course.

Is this a convenient lodging issue or an NCAA rule?

Neither.

It’s a Middlebury decision.

Kenyon getting an at large bid over Bowdoin seems criminal. Obviously the bracket is regionally focused and it’s just not how it works but the Polar Bears maintained a top 15 ranking for nearly the entire season.

Just about every year the 4/5th NESCAC is left out in favor of a team from a weaker conference with a lower poll ranking and at least one "bad" loss. This year, Bowdoin only loses to other NESCACs who made the show and Kenyon is in with a loss to OWU. Stinks for Bowdoin, but with only ~10 at-large bids it's part of "growing the game."

Not saying it's right but Kenyon's argument could be that their best win is against Denison.

Bowdoin's best win is against WNEC?

Bowdoin was top 15 because they started #6. They had a very mediocre year.

This is false. Middlebury applied to host both men's and women's for the first weekend and the NCAA chose to give the school only the women's event due to a lack of hotel rooms in town. If only one team can host, it should be the women, as they are the #1 team in the country -- and this is the decision the NCAA made -- but Middlebury did not opt to send their men's team on the road.

Bowdoin was ranked in the top fifteen all year because they deserved it. They went 11-5 in the best conference in the country, with four of those losses coming by an average of 3.25 goals against teams ranked #1, #5, and #8 (twice). The fifth loss was by 1 goal to Williams, who is also ranked and in the tournament.

They’re just not a top ten team, and they weren’t good enough to steal a game against a team that was. Simple as that. Would be really interesting to see how the committee ordered the teams that didn’t make the tourney.

Babson. The Beavers should be ranked.
