No argument, the Trump Admin did a good job resourcing the Pharma companies, whose scientists did a good job of developing the specific vaccines needed, and thank goodness for the MRNA platform and the scientists who have been working on that, with federal support for many years. It has enormous promise in other areas as well.


Biden's been better, but not perfect. And the Harris and Biden comments during the campaigns about the vaccines were very unhelpful. Mistakes. And because they were mistakes made from a self-serving political view, rather than honest actual mistakes, I think they deserve condemnation. Agree.....so go ahead....CONDEMN them ! No, I'm not yet eligible for the booster, but will do so as soon as I am. I'm past the 6 months for Moderna, but a year away from being 65 and I don't have the medical risk factors...I could "qualify" by saying I'm often in healthcare or educational settings, and that's a bit of a stretch. But I'm planning to do it before going to Florida where both virus prevalence is higher and I'll be interacting with many more people whose vulnerability is higher than my own.

J&J has, what, a 65% effectiveness, whereas the MRNA platform vaccines have 90%? and J&J has a sustained benefit for just a couple of months, whereas the MRNA lasts at least twice as long before reduction? Makes a real big difference, which is why they've recommended using the MRNA shots as boosters to J&J after a couple of months.

The MRNA tech is really quite amazing, the result of decades of genetic work.
It has really, really important potential in other diseases as well.

Actually...most doctors were never trained to understand nutrition's importance, much less what to do about it. Almost zero understanding of the behavioral aspects, much less the actual dietary changes that are necessary dependent upon various other risk factors.

And those who do understand the stupidity of how we have let our eating culture be shaped for profit, are only reaching a subset of the population.

The good news is that this is getting through to an increasing number, but man we're a long way from actually being serious beyond the individual decision level. And individual decisions are really hard (sugar, fat, salt) under impulse conditions, which is how we've engineered our society.
