I prefer this guys take on the issue.

Even before the coronavirus, this panic was vastly exaggerated. The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change itself points out that, if we try to measure all the negative economic effects from climate change, it would be equivalent to reducing the average person’s income in the 2070s by just 0.2 per cent to 2 per cent. And this is from a base whereby the UN expects the average person in the 2070s to have an income 363 per cent higher than today’s income (accounting for inflation).
… great, another former denier coming around! Now the claim is the proposed solutions are hysterical, lets do things that make sense to address the problem.

Political science education, some background in statistics. No significant science background.
His work has been quite controversial within Denmark, and it is highly criticized within the science community.
OTOH, he has called for the elimination of all fossil fuel subsidies that make them cheap, and for heavy investment in research for renewables to make them cost effective compared with fossil fuels.

By "heavy investment" you mean using chitloads full of taxpayer money. When private industry sees a profit in renewable energy they will not need a dime of taxpayer money. They will fund the research themselves because there is money to be made. It is much more fun to do the research with other peoples money. If it doesn't pan out your company has not lost a dime.

Maybe when some of you folks are done crying in your cornflakes about greenland glaciers you all can chew on this for awhile and turn some of your anger over at the Chicoms. You all understand that the Chicoms don't give a flying fudgebar about saving the planet. They will rape it until there is nothing left for them to take. All the while you all are pouring out crocodile tears over melting glaciers. Why don't you all take a forceful stand against the chicoms? I know why, because the chicoms will tell you to go blank off. As you all were. Keep crying about those glaciers while the chicoms are laughing their tails off at you.

You should NEVER buy fish 'farmed' or 'sourced' from China or Vietnam. That one vessel's obviously unhealthy appearance should be all that it takes to make you say no. Eat local, or from Florida of course.

The best seafood I have ever had was when I was in Key West. Those small dumpy looking shacks served up some incredible seafood.

Many around here have said fighting with the Chinese is futile, comments like... "they will just wait us out", "we will lose", etc-etc. We all know the chicoms are the worlds leader in pollution, and sadly very few know that our emissions have been reduced and we are in the top of the leader board on emissions standards. Trump tries to fight with chinese manufacturing and trade and he is the bad man...just imagine if we were to ramp up our manufacturing...with out standards, it WOULD help emissions globally.

Without the chicoms and many other developing countries climbing on board the GW/CC wagon the whole kitt and kaboodle of the environmental movement is peeing into a very stiff wind. They are crying about melting glaciers while the chicoms are going to rape and plunder the Galapagos Islands for every single living object surrounding the area that benefits the chicom government. You know what the environmental loudmouths here say about it... NOT A DAMN THING. Why because while the folks in the US government will lick their fannies all day long the chicoms will tell them just what to do with their environmental concerns. I don't think those objections will fit where the chicoms will tell them where to put them.

Perhaps not a top scientific site, but the article seems to be a decent summary of areas of concern.

ohh no, they 'mock Dr, Spencer"...so they can't have their heads screwed on straight...
You're right, it's a pretty cogent summary explanation of why folks are, and should be, concerned.

I trust Dr Spencer more than a bunch of weeds from Axios. I know you disagree with me and that is cool and groovy. I guess if we invest enough trillions of taxpayer money we will save your planet in another 100 years or 1000 years or so. We disagree, you buy into the bullchit and I don't. I am an ardent supporter of our planet. We can't buy our way out of what planet earth will do. Are you concerned about what the Chicoms are doing in and around the Galapagos Islands? There is a problem we CAN do something about. Why don't you care about that? Why don't the environmental extremists in the US have the balls to stand up to the chicoms? I'm just asking for a friend.

I didn’t ask you all that. The asked a simple question. You can say. “ I only listen to Roy Spencer and I don’t have anyone else that I can cite”.....it is not the end of the world.

Dr Spencer has forgotten more about how our environment works than a simple minded moderate republican will ever know. If you want to debate him go on his blog and have at it. Why be a chicken chit and debate it with me? That is because you don't have the knowledge or the background to to so. You do know if you read Dr Spencers blog... he takes on all people that challenge him, he does it all the time. I guarantee he debates people way smarter than anybody on this forum. If you don't believe me MD, go to his blog and read the COMMENTS. It is not that difficult even for a know it all like yourself. You are always challenging everyone here to read this, that and the other thing. You can take your point of view right to him... GO FOR IT.
