Not sure I follow you russy, (but what else is new?).

On the one hand you take issue with NPR inaccurately pumping Warren (I haven't heard this but maybe some guest was doing so?) and that they had it quite wrong, indeed Klobuchar has been a way more effective legislator than Warren. You're right. And that's because she finds ways to appeal across the aisle and finds issues she can gather support for beyond just the left wing of her own party.

But sure, that doesn't make her not liberal. She's a Democrat. If you want to find commonalities with other liberals, you will of course find them. But also solid on national defense. She reflects her roots.

What makes her "different" is that she's not such a flamer that she can't actually get to common ground. She has a mastery of the detail, an obvious professionalism and competency, and she has that mid-western style of getting along with one's neighbors. Smart but with humor.

If we want the next President to bring the country back to some semblance of basic respect for and care for our neighbors, and a fundamental respect for the rule of law, separation of powers, dignity of the office, etc... she's the sort of person who could actually do it.
Laughing.........of course she reaches across the isles.......especially on things that money matters. ( IE: Her YES 2008 vote on the disgusting TARP bill)

In other words.....just another TAATS

Bringing NPR up point: SPinning a false narrative of who is who. The DNC doesn't want Amy, b/c....umm....she can't win? (to quote 72)
I would have voted yes on Tarp too.
Even in retrospect with 20:20 hindsight.

But I'd have added some penalty aspects to those who ran fraudulent operations.
That was a big miss, IMO.

I dunno whether Amy Klobuchar can win the primary, either. Very tough road, even if she has her lane mostly to herself.
But I'd argue that she'd give the Dems the best chance of winning the Midwest without losing the enthusiasm on the coasts.
Very tough opponent for Trump, I think she mops the floor with him down the stretch.

But I'd bet a couple bucks that Kamala Harris will be the nominee.
I think she bests Biden once this thing gets into full swing.

Nah.....Hillaryous will "save the day" as the scandals mount, like dripping water.

Sorry that you wold have voted for TARP. To big to fail? I'll remember that philosophy when reading all the "corrupt" comments about what a lousy business guy tRump is.

Bankruptcy for zee.....bailout for me.

TARP....the final straw that brought out the tea parties.......I mean, bank of america IS the official sponsor of MLB, and the boreball stadiums across the nation NEEDED those outfield wall ads.

It's fair to debate "too big to fail" but the reality is that our economy, and thus the economy of the world, was hanging in the balance. Tough choice, but Tarp was necessary.

Maybe you're not aware of this, but AIG stockholders took a bath...so did a lot of other stockholders of other companies.

As I said, there should have been serious penalties for the executives who were hugely compensated despite their institution's participation in what was often downright fraudulent.

I'm not sure how you're linking this to Trump.
Are you saying that he got his own "bailout" from the Russians, through money laundering and Deutsche Bank?

Listen, this guy went bankrupt multiple times, not when the economy was collapsing, but during good economic times. Hard to argue business prowess based upon how much OPM he lost during good economic times. What he has left is mostly inherited and/or based on fraud and tax evasion.

To Clarify, I detest the man in every way possible. Didn't, nor never will, support the man with my funds or vote.

You and others LOVE to point out his, some , business failings. (again, 75% of inherited money is GONE, 1st generation. tRump is the 25% )

But give a pass because the "economy" (really ONLY the stock market) was looking bad. For whom? And, buried their heads in the sand for a full 8 years while Obama ignored the bonus cap, allowing the banksters to keep on funding his Foundation on public land. No, his "donors" aren't from the financial world

it's just the hypocrites, just them.

Dems wouldn't EVER be over-confident against The Don again, not after the 2016 debacle...and still...

GOP donors: Trump campaign lacks a strategy to win in 2020

"Late last month, more than 100 major Republican donors gathered at the Trump International Hotel for a presentation from the president’s campaign manager Brad Parscale and other top political hands on their plans to keep the White House in 2020 after a brutal midterm election.

But several of the GOP contributors left the two-day retreat in Washington dissatisfied, dogged by essentially the same concern: The president doesn’t really have a strategy to win reelection.

They are chiefly worried about how he intends to prevail again in the Rust Belt states that voted for Trump in 2016, but where Democrats performed strongly in last year's midterms. But there are also concerns about whether the president's fundraising apparatus is up to the task, and whether Trump will trample on any strategy or message the campaign does develop, as he frequently does."

What strategy did tRump have to win in 2016? Besides idiotic, childish blurbs.

If the Dems message remains focusing on tRump......they will lose again. Which is EXACTLY what they want. Maintain the status quo and TAATS firmly entrenched.

Otherwize, everify would have passed with GOP ease. Alas......

I agree for the most part. The R's eff'd up big time while they had the majority, but in an odd situation many of those R's were caught in the quandary of all things Trump, collusion, SC, new member of the elitist club, etc, etc. Paul Ryan I blame for much of it.

Right now I am predicting Bernie as the man, but too grumpy to be elected.

If Biden jumps in, he might become "the man", but he will be revealed as the buffoon that he is.

Will HRC jump in? My gut says no, but there is no accounting for egos.

As for the rest, lightweights all. They might be elected just due to the anti-Trump hysteria in the MSM, but they will not be great POTUSes due to their lightweightedness (not sure that is a word).

All indications, as of today, point to Trump through 2024. Hang on to your seats.

If the Republican politburo dares to put up a challenger to the COOO, I humbly suggest they look to Mark Meadows.

Mark loves, respects and nurtures EVERYONE.....quadroons, octaroons, darkies, lighties, nigs and nogs, high yellers, mestizos etc. Hell, he went as far as to openly excoriate the author of Little Black Sambo.

That fake 2012 video of an actor, hired by Pelosi, PRETENDING to be Saint Mark, is unfair. This life-long champion of MOST people of color would never pledge TO SEND OBAMA back to Kenya.
