That wouldn't be a bad idea. Jon Posner built a lacrosse powerhouse out of a military school in Indiana. Now, he's working with an elite boarding school a few miles south of Princeton that counts Joe Tsai as a lax alum and major source of funding. Doesn't take a lot of imagination to see where that's going. And the fact that we seem to already have an in? Good news all around.

Angelus is no Ament, but he's not bad.

Hopkins is very thin in the 23 class. There are only 17 recruits coming in this fall. CC is a great pick up. Great to see brothers on same team.

They were 19-1 this year and beat Calvert Hall, Malvern, Haverford, Brunswick x2, Deerfield x2, the Hill Academy, and Salisbury. Posner's track record at Culver prior to Lawrenceville speaks for itself. I am, of course, stating my opinion, but I didn't think that needed to be said explicitly.

As for Chauvette, he has an extremely high ceiling, but who knows. Degnon recorded back-to-back 40-goal seasons. He had the nation's longest goal-scoring streak by the end of the season. Lefty snipers don't grow on trees, but if they did they would look like Hunter Chauvette.

I was enjoying crushing a box of mini black and white cookies, then I read your post. I was on the jr midfielders lack of consistent production all year. To me it was the reason we didn't make memorial day weekend and the logjam of offensive midfielders is the top concern of mine into next year. I expect some Wally Pipp type situations of kids getting pushed next spring at that position if we are going to have more success. Collison for one needs to get consistent first line minutes like a big boy alpha dawg first line midfielder would get at an ACC or Maryland instead of going long periods on the bench so that they can run 3rd line guys.

They just addressed their two biggest needs in one day. The reason they didn’t make it to Memorial Day is that they had to play the eventual NC in the QFs. The “midfield” was good last year and should be better next year. We’ll have a group of 8-9 very good/ versatile offensive-end players (the returnees + recruits like Chauvette, Sorichetti, Ayers pretty much guarantees that, barring injury), and we should have one of the better and most complete teams in the country next year.

How did Chauvette switch his commitment if he is currently a HS senior? Wouldn’t he have had to back out of his NLI to Yale that he assumedly signed in the fall of 2022v
