I think you're right. Robinson coaches probably taught the FOGO how to make the stick illegal then told him to tear his ACL then play on it the rest of the game.

Apparently he left the game in a sling and one of their other attack suffered a serious ankle injury. Word is that he (McDaid) may have broke or dislocated it. Obviously unfortunate all the way around. Battlefield looks to be facing a team that will be seriously down some fire power.

The play happened very fast and had 2-3 bodies moving to a point where the ball was headed. Almost like a FS and WR meeting at the ball and they both take a blow. I haven't seen the film, but it did not look like ill intent on anybody's part. He took the brunt of two Patriot defenders hitting him.

Patriot pretty much controlled the game until about 5 minutes left in the 4th. I think it was 9-3 when Oakton made their run. The score is a bit misleading on how dominate Patriot was for most of the game. Patriot seemed to lose focus and their offense stopped attacking. They lost momentum and couldn't stop the bleeding. Oakton's ability to control the FO was huge in their run. It kind of took on that "make it, take it" situation in pick up basketball.

Give credit to both teams here; Patriot for playing well for most of the game and Oakton for not throwing in the towel and making it a one goal game at the end.

Weird that you would be giving score updates for Patriot. The post that you erased about the first Patriot/Battlefield game ended with a "Go Bobcats" signature line. Did you skip the Battlefield game and decide to attend the game of your rival school, well, at least perceived by your "Go Bobcats" that ended your now erased post.

Sets up for a nice game tomorrow between Madison and Patriot. Is that at Madison or Patriot?

The winner of the Battlefield/Oakton game has an easier first round game than both Patriot and Madison. Nobody in Region B measures up to Patriot or Madison or any of the top 3 in C.

All the teams need to be re-seeded after Regionals to help ensure you have the best matchups possible in the semi’s.

Battlefield continues to live a charmed life. After a relatively easy conference and regional path, they run up against Madison, take the loss, and get to resurrect themselves in states. Next they get a banged up Oakton team with 1st team All-Conference attack, McDaid and Waters likely out with injuries. They will reload with Arnold, Weber picking up the slack.

That is what I was talking about earlier....if they win against a depleted Oakton squad they will be matched up with the Region B winner....that's laughable compared to what Patriot or Madison will end up facing in the round of 8.

Region D #1 vs Region C #3

Region D #2 vs Region C #1

Region D #3 vs Region B #1

I figured your husband would have wanted you to come support the team while he moves about on the sideline.
