I understand that if Penn State beats Rutgers on Saturday, MD and JHU will play each other again in the Big Ten tournament regardless of the outcome this Saturday. If Rutgers upsets PSU, then it gets real complicated. Key for MD is play a 60 minute game and win Saturday then proceed to the BIG tournament and move on to the NCAA’s.

Prior to the Michigan game Rutgers gave up 45 goals in 3 games.! That’s why I question if Edelman is a top5 goalie. They have talent , but when will the egg be cracked ?

If he's not top 5 I think he's close. His save % is 58 and that's behind a below average defense in my opinion.

Jared Bernhardt was named to the list of 25 Tewaaraton nominees:
https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/ ... nees/54357

Logan Wisnauskas was left off the list. His 65 points in 13 games seems pretty good, and for the currently #2 ranked team.
I don't have a crystal ball, but if the Terps were to go a long way in the NCAAs and Logan kept up his average, the Tewaaraton Committee could look rather foolish. Not saying Wisnauskas should win, but his omission could look rather bad.

College Crosse agree with about Wisnauskas. At 1:11 into podcast they go on rant about his exclusion from the list.

Hopefully, the Terps can get the job done tonight and get Hopkins a step closer to the end of their season.
The sooner Hopkins is done, the sooner Hopkins' fans can begin their recovery. Let's be humane. ;)

Yeah, but we’re talking about a 12 step program here.

Watching this JHU game confirms a bad suspicion from several weeks ago.....the 2019 Terps are just not as good as recent teams. That's not a bad thing because Tillman's teams have been excellent, but this is at least the 7th game this season where Maryland has been dominated for a long stretch. Many of those games they rallied and won, but this was a complete game domination by a so-so team.

Not sure I will ever understand the goalie chasing the opponent behind the crease (leaving the goal completely wide open) play, as that has resulted in probably 80% success rate for the other team over the last 3 years.

I don't think the Terps defense has been as strong as in the recent past. I believe they are up to allowing over 10 gpg. Not a real shut down defense, like Terp fans are used too. I think the offense is doing pretty well overall.

Not sure playing a 6-6 team on your homefield is daring greatly :?:

Wow.
Just being honest. Hopkins hadn't beaten a top 10 team all season. Lost to Towson by 9, Loyola by 6, Syracuse by 4, Virginia by 5, and PSU by 11.
My statement about next year was a little tongue-and-cheek about the Crab trophy actually. But if the Terps can't play shutdown defense and lose the FO game, it will be tough to go far this year.
