It’s unfortunate the quality of the video and commentary at the various host sites is so inconsistent. There was zero play-by-play color for the St. John Fisher hosted games, no shot clock shown and they must have a camera without a zoom function because the players were the size of amoebas on my screen. I tuned into the Steven’s/Catholic game later in the afternoon and they had it all, including instant replay. One would think the NCAA capable of selecting host sites with a little more to offer, but it all seems par for the course for DIII lax in the time of Covid.

It ain't the site, it's the production, and lack of investment.

SJF doesn't have a huge seating area so the camera's aren't that far from the field. Never had any problems with the local or NYS lax tournaments when broadcasted by Spectrum cable.

You mean you don’t like broadcasters who sound like parents rooting for their kids? They are a very confusing crew. IMO there was a worse pairing a few years ago (that has since either changed or improved), but I’ll get yelled at if I point it out :D
Nigel wrote: Sat May 15, 2021 8:47 pm Tufts-SJF should be a dandy. Babson FO guy more than held his own, I'd Fisher FO to excel.
Joe Post is REALLY good. Dominated all year, and thoroughly handled the best player he faced (AA Nick Montemorano was 18/47 - 38% - across two games vs. SJF). Meanwhile Tufts is below 50% on the season. That’s slightly skewed by Kyle Helfrich missing the Bates and Dartmouth games, but still. I think Tufts will need to get stops/turnovers to generate possession, because they’re going to have all kinds of problems winning faceoffs. SJF does turn the ball over a lot so at least there’s that.

One last 🖕 to the NESCAC presidents for the way they handled this season, culminating in NESCAC sites being prevented from hosting.

I also think SJF is ready to pull the upset. 12-11 Fisher takes it in Q4.

To no one’s surprise, a track meet has broken out in Rochester, NY.

Good game in Lancaster, teams fairly evenly matched so far- we’ll see if that trend continues. York goalie playing very well, must have 9 or 10 saves, 3 of which were point blank.

I would like to have seen Endicott and CNU have at it. It was a missed opportunity for the Gulls from what I’m seeing today.

CNU played a great defensive game today against Stevenson at Stevenson. 10-5 win, moves to the Quarter Finals. Hannway 9 saves in the 2nd half. Possible 3rd game against Lynchburg.

Great game in Lancaster, unfortunately a weather delay has stopped things for a while. Really disappointing because this is as good of a game as I’ve seen this season. Hopefully the back and forth action continues on restart.

Honestly Mother Nature is doing us a solid right now, breaking up the games even though the NCAA didn't.

Thanks for the update, went on the Twitter accounts from both schools since it seemed like the live stats had been stuck at 3:29 for forever and saw nothing so wondering what the deal was.

Tufts over SJF 19-15. Great fight by SJF; down 18-12 with 4:21 to go and scored three unanswered in about a minute and a half. Joe Theuer’s back-to-back EMO saves at 1:45 were as clutch as almost any you’ll see, crazy sequence.
