Do not think there are any more fans of The Pride left on this message board from Lax Power (Nick Nasty) where are you?

A quick observation, it felt like Trinity Pawling had 100 shots on goal against Kent and not one of them was a trusty ole bounce shot, seemly everyone trying for the top shelf. In my day the bounce shot was the go to shot. I thought TP was going to run away with this game, but was 6-3 at the half. One TP goal was worthy of a SportCenter highlight.

Was fun to finally see a game again, looking forward to any reports, game recaps from today.

GO Blue

Most sophomores aren’t 17 years old.
I don’t like to speculate on the ages of minors. Keep doing you though

Karen,
It is totally fine to discuss a kids age in relation to HS sports. Just ask the hockey or club teams who separate kids by birthdate.

I was impressed my #6 for Avon who is only a sophomore, but has some big size and scored some timely goals. Home field advantage played a large part in the game with the Avon student section being quite boisterous. I assume tomorrow will be similar up in Salisbury.
Salisbury wins the return leg 18-9.

First, great to see high school lax being played at all levels!

MA Lax Fan, you’re throwing out a “Karen” reference but were the one making light that there might be a 17 yr old sophomore in NEW 1 lacrosse? FYI, there are also 19 yr olds on the field... if that’s a concern probably shouldn’t be following NEW lax. Then you bring hockey into your argument about age? Really? This isn’t club hockey and isn’t dictated by birth year.

Actually happy to see AOF and Salisbury split. Good to see the competitiveness at their home venues.

Excited for the Brunswick-Haverford game on ESPU Friday! Hard to get any feel for this crazy season, especially with the home and homes being so unnatural but Wick is stacked as ever and the Fords are always loaded with future D1 stars. Can’t wait!

6-2 Brunswick over Haverford early in the 2nd. So fun to have this professionally televised. Wick looks like they look, loaded with talent everywhere, weapons all over the field.

Haverford keeper playing well, 7-5 at half. Wick sloppy on ground balls but excellent with ride.

Combo of bad offense, good defense/keeping and a few pipes has Wick scoreless for over 20 minutes (amazing). 7-7 midway through 4th. Way too much iso/hero ball from Wick, Fords have some big boys on D.

Wick hangs on 9-8. Good D and keepers on both sides. A lot of extremely talented offensive players who needs to share the ball more.

Surprising score but hard to be shocked by anything this season. Wick only won the first round by 3 so it’s not like this was some 15 goal swing. As has been seen in several home/home series this year (Salisbury-AOF, TP-AOF), it can be hard to beat a team twice. That said, Wick really didn’t look very good, especially offensively, vs Haverford (way too much iso and poor shot placement) and if they played like that against better teams (Fords having a very down year for them) they can lose several of their remaining games, their schedule is just brutal and may wear them down.

Salisbury over Avon by a few yesterday at home, and with a comeback today in a tight one at Avon.

Brunswick with a come from behind OT win vs Darien.

Brunswick visits Salisbury in a week. Should be a good one.

Any predictions for the Brunswick- Deerfield game today? Brunswick had a game last night so they could have some tired legs. Although Deerfield hasn’t played any tough competition yet with the likes of Williston and Berkshire as their previous opponents. Could go either way.

I don't buy any "tired legs" talk. Brunswick has as much depth as any team around, and these guys practice hard everyday. They also won their game against Ridgefield fairly comfortably, so I don't see this carrying a physical or emotional toll the same way it might have if it had been scheduled for the day after the Darien game.

Really unsure of what to think of in regards to a prediction. Brunswick has been a streaky team, and they had some pretty lethargic performances against Haverford and Lawrenceville. They seemed to find that top gear as the Darien game went on, and looked pretty crisp last night. Still, I think their attack is less lethal than anticipated with the injury to Caponiti. Deerfield is maybe a little less deep in the midfield, but I think their attack is stronger. At the same time they haven't been really tested, whereas Brunswick has gone through a gauntlet so far. I think it will come down to the specialist positions.

OK, Please help the handicapped?

How can I stream or buy or record the 'wick vs. Deerfield game?

Upon whom should I bet?
