So now the Canadian medical establishment is part of the Ivermectin conspiracy, to hide the truth about how great it is at treating COVID.

I have not seen ANY public credible data that indicates that breakthrough infections are increasing among those vaccinated early which would be the data needed to recommend a booster.

Additionally WSJ reports today Moderna wants to do a smaller 50cc dose to reach more people and have fewer side effects. FDA wants 100cc to reduce confusion from changing dosages and avoid wastage from discarding unused doses in a vial.

So they cannot even agree what the booster dose is or should be at this point. Why roll the dice unless you are actually immuno-compromised currently?

Exactly my point...and what will they all say next week or next month?

Then they should come out and officially say so. ALL of them universally. The FDA is notably silent and two of their leading folks just quit over this BS.
Every man/woman for themselves is no way to proceed IMHO.

The conspiracy against Ivermectin use to treat COVID is even wider than originally thought, the European Union put out an FDA like warning in March 2021. :o

I don't have an issue with Salty's scenario (given that supply is currently not a problem, though I still wonder about international ethics and public health benefits). I agree that if that's what they actually want us to do, eg 6 months+ as available, they should say so (and if Salty really did do this as specifically described, convincing a friend to get dose 1 all the better)...or with whatever broader segmentation as would be appropriate eg immunocompromised, 60+, diabetes, heart disease, obesity etc...tell us to go ahead if that's what you want to do...ok to wait longer if feel you're at lower risk. I'd be in the 60+ group.

But my mom thinks she's been told 8 months, not 6...and she doesn't have what's been described specifically by the FDA under the EUA. She's actually listening to formal statements, not what Walgreens would let her get away with...me, I'm gonna nudge her forward if I can...

Seems like the issues about boosters are mostly ethical and logistical choices rather than uncertainties about the science.

With unlimited time and resources, sure -- give everyone a booster.

But this is a world wide problem. So we dont really get out of it until everyone is out of it. So (with limited time and resources) is it best to throw today's life jacket to an older first world person (who is still floating pretty well with two life jackets but who may start to experience a little sinkage soon) or to a third world person still treading water.

Which of course just shows (yet again) who how effed up all those many millions of unvaxed mouth breathers we have here are.

Yes. Some of it is valuing getting the globe some protection vs. 3rd shots. What’s more likely to slow the global pandemic.

Thursday while traveling to a meeting, I was listening to 1A on public radio. Topic was on vaccine.

The expert on the show said that international availability is not really an issue - there are doses in the US that are starting to be discarded because of lack of demand. She said to not worry about actually getting a booster as the logistics are not there to move those doses distributed in the US already to outside locations.

For the most part at this time supply is not as big a problem as actually getting the doses to where they are needed internationally, according to her.

Supply is no longer an issue. Supply exceeds global ability to distribute & inoculate. Unused doses are expiring.

Listen to Dr Scott Gottlieb @ 5:28. It's not a zero sum game.

...are you familiar with the expression "a wink & a nod" ? That's the signal being sent on the booster. They're making it ez to qualify for the booster. It's embarrassing having unused doses expire. It undercuts the political happy talk about Biden's success. That's why Joe jumped the gun & said 5 months. Ready, fire, aim.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/27/biden-s ... onths.html

Not sure if boosters are necessary ? Need a signal ? We live in a large > 55 community. We know of 3 breakthrough cases of fully & early vaxed residents requiring hospitalization. Sadly, 1 did not make it.

More lies. Show a quote, where Rogan attributed his recovery to IVM alone. You keep posting articles that have an agenda, in this case, to discredit IVM and Rogan too.

Why are you and the people who write this nonsense so threatened?

Joe Rogan has no idea if Ivermectin or any of those other things helped. Like I said, may be no more effective than placebo….why aren’t you hustling roots tonic?

Good old Holden Caulfield…..one of our “former” members that still lurks here claims he can’t stand that book….I figured it’s his act to pick up girls with some BS philosophical talk. Drops a worn copy on the floor of a bar and prattles on about it like he does here. A phony. He also has a man crush on Rogan. This is the only thing I like about Joe Rogan:

I posted it before. It never gets old

I think it’s overrated and predictable personally but can’t say hate. Maybe in the moment in time it was more seminal to culture but by the 1990s you could give me Harold and Maude all day and night over Catcher and that’s even with Cat Stevens selling his music to the big three for commercials.

Both of these are simply examples of dialectic which is how we view the external world with relation to ourselves. Themes tend to pop up with most folks. That’s where context and prior words matter despite what some around here seem to think.
