I'm going to need Quint to tell me again why Hop can't win the big game.

Milliman's system is that much more in-place now. Can't forget that.

Best Jays game in a long time. They look to have turned the corner in the rebuild. Jays win and Maryland loses. What a day

The Quint hate on this board is insufferable. Even when they were down 4-1, Quint was talking about how he is optimistic about this Blue Jays team. It is perfectly fair for him to point out that Hopkins hasn't won any big games during inarguably the worst stretch in the program's history.

To Win!!!

Blue Jays play a terrific all-around game and fight their way back to score five of the last six goals.

Excellent goalie play, good work on ground balls, stellar on faceoffs, sharing the rock on offense … Blue Jays won this game, GT didn’t lose it.

To Win!!!

Blue Jays are back!

Program-altering, trajectory-changing type win missing three starters. Hats off to the staff. Way too amped to offer any insight or analysis right now

Give Quint K a break guys. He has actually been optimistic about this year’s Blue Jays from day 1 of the season. Even ranked them higher than other polls.

Plus, he’s one of the greatest goalies of the past 40 years … something Hopkins fans tend to forget for some reason.

The hate is because we want him to be a homer.
Like Carc. Not our Carc, but their Carc.
He could have been like the beloved Phil Rizzuto.
Then his random observations about lunch spots, etc. would be forgivable.

Not many fans in section 7, but what a great team win! From Kenya to Baltimore, I came the farthest to witness a seminal program victory.

Offense looked purposeful as opposed to last year’s efforts.

A great win not many had the confidence to think would.
happen. A cornerstone to build on.

Maryland apparently looked like a team that lost a lot of talent.

It is going to be a very interesting year

Dordevic got his but S. Smith at the end came up huge. Martin and Smith played that two-man game behind the goal in the last minute perfectly.

Ball movement really excellent on the offensive end in the second half. We haven't had a guy who can win the dodge like Melendez since freshman (pre-injury) Epstein. You can see confidence surging in bunch of other guys (Bauer, Collison, Phillips, others). Bodes well for the rest of the season.

Defense occasionally got beaten, but the D didn’t let GT get off clean shots, and when they did, Marcille was often there for the save.

Ball movement on offense was much improved (8 of 13 goals assisted), but there is no substitute for some of the long-range shooting Melendez put on display today.

Loved the way the Blue Jays kept scrapping their way back after falling behind.

Bottom line, though, Marcille won this game with his great goalie play.

People don't expect a homer (at least I don't), but Q has thrived on the "Hopkins is in crisis" narrative for years now. Always ready to put in a dig, like on the failed clear that wasn't. Can't win the big game? How many "big games" has Georgetown won.... ever? Why can't they won the big game, expert announcer/ analyst?

Congrats to Hopkins on a great win. Disciplined offense, great wing play on faceoffs, and goaltending won this game.
