How many other Americans are prosecuted on this? Joe Rogan is awaiting prosecution, I'm sure you'll be clamoring for his indictment because he's admitted to be a weed user and a gun owner.
Correction, those crazy right wingers are demanding Hunter Biden be held accountable for his felonious behaviorAny American who lies on a handgun application SHOULD be and WILL be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Hunter Biden is getting what he deserves. Here is a very simple solution for Hunter...plead guilty and accept the consequences. I'll bet Hunter and Joe never even contemplated that option. That makes no sense in an election year.

In theory, the "application" could be construed to mean "well regulated militia".

cradle, in your narrow eyes (and they are narrow), any marijuana user, and licensed to carry gun owner, in the state of Massachusettes, lied on their gun application?

Pot IS legal in Massachusettes. When I renewed my LTC, again, guess we "lied" when we checked the "no" box for illegal drug use. b/c, Federally, pot IS still "illegal".

Think about it, it makes no sense. Why wouldn't the FBI be raiding Massachusettes, and now Maryland, marijuana dispensaries and arresting banksters for money laundering ?

Unlike Hunter, we had no prior documented history of illegal drug use. Perhaps Colorado allows crack cocaine now, but pretty sure, JOE BIDEN ,the potusa, provided some pretty harsh laws regarding crack cocaine use.

And than the chump, at age 42, joined the US Navy.....

THIS.....is what pissed me off. Should YOU too, cradle. btw, I jumped into moving planes, not out of them ;)
Is that the US Navy allowed him into its service in the first place. Anyone ever written a book , besides Hunter himself , about WHO let Hunty into the Navy? As Vice Prez, did Joe pull any strings..........duh.

Military officers are mostly cuckolds for the killing industry. The Navy is the leader. (just look at all the BS legal junk that the Navy/Feds are pulling with the Fat Leonard stuff. Fing disgusting. “The House is back in session, and Americans are getting an up-close look at Washington’s dysfunction. We are barreling toward a government shutdown without making progress on cutting our out-of-control spending. Yet Republican leadership has decided to divert attention to an impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

The GOP’s charge against Biden is that he personally benefited from his son’s deplorable business exploits around the globe. Without doubt, Hunter Biden’s shady business deals undermined America’s image and our anti-corruption goals, and his conduct was thoroughly reprehensible. What’s missing, despite years of investigation, is the smoking gun that connects Joe Biden to his ne’er-do-well son’s corruption.

My fellow Republicans leading the House inquiry believe the connection comes through the 2016 firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, which then-Vice President Biden helped facilitate.
The dominant narrative in right-wing media is that Shokin was an anti-corruption zealot with an active investigation into Burisma, the company where Hunter Biden held a seat on the board of directors, and from which he reportedly received large monthly payments.

The truth about Shokin is much more complicated and runs counter to the GOP’s “gotcha” narrative. In reality, Shokin was deeply enmeshed in Ukraine’s culture of corruption and, far from being a beacon of transparency, was viewed by many in the West — including some conservative Republican senators — as an obstacle to anti-corruption reforms. There is, in fact, no evidence that Shokin was engaged in an investigation of Burisma, or that Joe Biden’s role in his firing was in any way connected to Burisma.

Much attention has been focused on a speech Biden delivered in December 2015 before Ukraine’s parliament, in which he explicitly called for change at the prosecutor general’s office. Far from being out of line with U.S. policy, Biden’s remarks were entirely within the U.S. government’s paradigm of helping Ukraine break free from its lawless Soviet past. Other senior officials, including U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, made the case during the same period for firing Shokin.

The European Union, which necessarily pays a great deal of attention to the politics and policies of neighboring Ukraine, was also of the opinion that Shokin should be sacked. Shokin had been the biggest barrier to the E.U.’s years-long efforts to encourage rule-of-law reforms in Ukraine.
These facts — like all facts — are stubborn things.

Republicans in the House who are itching for an impeachment are relying on an imagined history. Their inquiry, formally announced by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Tuesday, rests heavily on a fictitious version of Shokin’s career, with the alleged investigation of Burisma at the center. It’s a neat story, and one that performs well in certain media circles. But impeachment is a serious matter and should have a foundation of rock-solid facts.

Does this flimsy excuse for an impeachment sound familiar? It should.

In 2019, the Democratic-controlled House, led by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), pursued an impeachment of President Donald Trump on the loose allegation of a quid pro quo — again involving Ukraine and Shokin. The Democrats alleged that Trump called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to pressure him into examining the theoretical connection between Hunter Biden’s payments from Burisma and Shokin’s firing. Trump ultimately did withhold aid from Ukraine, consistent with the U.S. government’s long-standing policy of tying aid to anti-corruption reforms. But the Democrats were off and running.

I joined my Republican colleagues then in denouncing that impeachment. It was, as we argued at the time, an inversion of our own rule-of-law system. The Democrats had their man and found a pretext to impeach him.
Trump’s impeachment in 2019 was a disgrace to the Constitution and a disservice to Americans. The GOP’s reprise in 2023 is no better.”

I never filled out a handgun application. Both of my sons did and quite a few friends. When you sign that application and submit it there is that little notation that reminds you about something called perjury and lying in any way shape or form on your application turns your ass into grass and the powers that be will be the lawnmower. Hunter crossed that line the split second he physically took possession of the handgun. That action was a felony. It didn't matter if he only had the gun for 2 weeks or 2 years. He effed himself the minute he put his hot little crack head hands on it. Had his ex wife turned the gun over to law enforcement and explained the situation he might not be in the world of chit he faces today. IMO the only sensible option for Hunter is to plead guilty and accept the consequences. That would be a start for him to redeeming himself. FTR I don't think a stretch in federal prison would do him any good. A thousand hours or so of community service might be more appropriate.

THIS.....is what ticked me off.

Stay classy Navy. But, willing to bet they would kick a "seaman" out for calling someone the wrong "pronoun" are making a "gay" joke.

A note to MD lax about my smart phone from hell. I type in one word and it changes it to another word all on its own. I just typed in redeeming and it was changed to feeding. That happens all the time and it ain't me responsible for it. :D
There it is again!! So it would not have been a “felony”?
If she turned in his crack cocaine.....and pipe.....wood that still be a "felony".

Depends.....if pig cops are knocking on the door....and THAN you decide to "throw it in the trash", or rather, flushed down the toilet.....or, you bring the baggy down to the station.

What IS the process for turning over Hunters crack cocaine to the police?

Indicted because the right wing deep state is hounding a Democrat's son. Sounds about right.

Washington Post is owned by a billionaire. Not exactly impartial these days.

How many other Americans are prosecuted on this? Joe Rogan is awaiting prosecution, I'm sure you'll be clamoring for his indictment because he's admitted to be a weed user and a gun owner.
Correction, those crazy right wingers are demanding Hunter Biden be held accountable for his felonious behavior. The instant he took physical possession of a handgun by LYING on his application he became a felon in the eyes of the law. Any American who lies on a handgun application SHOULD be and WILL be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Hunter Biden is getting what he deserves. He can't use the I am a sorry ass pathetic crack head excuse. His dad is still soooooo proud of him.
Here is a very simple solution for Hunter...plead guilty and accept the consequences. I'll bet Hunter and Joe never even contemplated that option. That makes no sense in an election year.
Application

When purchasing a firearm, say in the gay 90's, what "application" did you fill out?

In theory, the "application" could be construed to mean "well regulated militia".

Turn off auto-correct. It is a tool that you choose to use. Don’t be helpless.

Actually. I think this site employs a modicum of auto-correction (word censor) that is applied without the user input or notice to said user when it is applied.

Or just don’t blame the tool and accept the post as is or fix it. That’s fine too. But excuses and victim hood of bad people with power doing bad things, you know. Bill Gates is a villain, easier to blame him.

Here is a very simple solution for Hunter...plead guilty and accept the consequences. I'll bet Hunter and Joe never even contemplated that option.
Um...you realize that Hunter tried to do exactly that, right?

Pretty certain that this all ends in a future plea deal. Certainly this gun charge will never go to trial. Since, among other reasons, the law in question is likely unconstitutional. The coming tax charges -- who knows.

TBD how much the eventual plea deal will differ from the one that fell apart. Probably won't be a huge difference despite all the smoke blown.

How/why the deal that Weiss and Team Hunter negotiated fell apart remains a mysterious head scratcher. That didn't happen because of the judge or because it was a sweetheart deal. As best I can tell it was mutual bad lawyering and distrust between the two sides. Super weird.

More from TeamTinFoil. This is just GREAT stuff.

"It's not normal for political families to get millions of dollars from overseas interests". "it's not normal to have 20 shell companies".

He then goes on to complain that Biden that Joe "got a Ukrainian fired".

Who is this brilliant man talking about? Trump, right? F NO! He's talking about Joe Biden.

And the comments are just *chef's kiss*. Yes, folks, let's act shocked that our educational test scores are falling off a cliff, and the man talking is doing everything he can to make it so that working class Americans get ZERO education, so that they keep buying what he is selling.

Joe Biden was VP YEARS ago. Sooooooo...can anyone on TeamTinFoil explain why the TrumpAdmin. didn't go after him in their four years of being in power. Did they "forget" to do that? Are they blaming the Trump Admin. for covering for Joe for four years? Brilliant.

Delicious. Every year, they get dumber. Can't wait for next year, and to see what TeamTinFoil cooks up for us. Maybe they'll go after the Carter Administration, what with "the cover up" to protect him, and all. Billy Carter was a Russian spy. Oh, and an alien. More on Substack, please subscribe.

I don’t think you make beer, but you no doubt know more about the process than I do. You are probably too young to have had a Billy Beer. I, on the other hand, was in my 20s when Billy Beer came out. Made the mistake of buying a six pack. I think I only had a few sips of one can. Threw the rest out it was so terrible. The beer was a crime against humanity. Billy Carter should’ve been indicted for something for selling that swill.
