Top it off with a garbage plate at Dino BBQ and I’ll understand what Carc and Anish have been talking about.
Unless your a former Syracuse All-American watching any practice is gonna be a no-go. The Dome opens 2 hours before the game and is completely wide open if you wanna walk around and check it out same for campus itself. Dino has really good BBQ but a garbage plate is a Rochester staple, you won't be finding one there.

Appreciate the responses, clearly not an Orange legend if I thought Dino bbq and garbage plates were one in the same. Less of a Duke fan but would love to catch guys like Brennan, Dyson and McAdorey in person, in early March, full feeling in my toes at the house that Simmy built. Equally looking forward to seeing Spallina and Hiltz operate together and Will Mark in the net as well. Always appreciated how you can hear fans cheer on the broadcast for an ssdm who got dodged, redodged, and didn’t need a slide. Makes you think there’s better discussion in the stands than in the broadcast booth about what’s happening on the field.

The broadcast team is unbelievably bad.

They need Powell on color. I know, in the clever opinion of one observer, he may be a homer and his voice is robotic, but I love his objective criticism, which would sound harder if delivered in less of a deadpan tone.
Keep in mind, however, that this is the opinion of someone whose favorite Walter’s choice character currently being aired on MPT is Astrid. I’d call both Ryan and Astrid acquired tastes.

Bad news, the system in place for getting a "ticket" at the Dome is just flat out idiotic. First you stick your card (no cash) in the little device that reads them to pay for it. Then the guy in the booth asks you for your phone number so he can send you your ticket via text message. You then pull your text message up and show it to the "ticket taker" who scans it, and voi la, you're in the Dome. Does this sound like a faster, smoother, more efficient way to get a ticket and into the Dome than to hand a person a twenty, he then hands you a ticket which you then hand to the ticket taker? Ridiculous.
Sorry, but that's one of the funniest things I've heard. Whatever happened to "Legal tender for all debts, ..."
In fairness I should give the upside here I guess. Just got a couple of tickets for Friday's Cuse-Maryland wlax game (very scary game). They're ten bucks if you get one in advance, fifteen at the gate gameday. You can get them on the phone and they text your "ticket" to you, so that's what I did. That works pretty good.

Don't expect it this early in season but I'm hoping they can hang with Terps... at least.
I expect Marylands offense will play better than they did vs Loyola but with Mark in cage and the solid d they are playing they can keep it within reach of their offense.
They hung with them last year and now have a legit goalie. Maryland isn't as good as last year on either end with some many top players gone . I expect Cuse to give them a run and Spallina to do just fine
I think this is a completely different Syracuse team, not just in goal, so I wouldn't make too many comparisons from last year's game to this. Phaup won the face-off battle against Weirman last year 15 to 13, and I'm not sure that will happen again with Richiusa. So far, SU looks better from last year in all other departments for sure.

Please no. His lifeless tone is worse than the Loyola color commentator whispering sweet nothings in your ear all game.

As far as the Md game, Cuse gave the Terps one of the closest games last season. With the change in personnel and uncertainty in Md goal, it should be interesting.

These are college kids getting TV experience as part of their Newhouse education. The pre-game show and halftime "analysis" are too funny to miss. Although, they do seem to know the SU players and their tendencies pretty well.

good chance we'll see a faceoff flip from last year also, tho. richiusa and wings have been better than expected so far, but they haven't faced wierman.

Cuse has lost the face off battle in two of three games, wlaxers lost the draw battle 23-11 v Northwestern in their opener.
Cuse lax is undefeated across the board (wlaxers win 16-15). Jus' sayin'. ;)

Maybe. Don't think the team that crushed Richmond in their opener can't show up again.

The freshman who previously played against a bunch LI jamokes and whose father bullied Gary into giving him the #22 does indeed seem to being doing alright. Back to back finsters, not bad.
Very nice win for those Jays, Doc!!
Thanks, DMAC. How long has it been since both SU and Hopkins were undefeated after multiple games?

going to guess, Albany, Holy Cross, Hobart, Vermont etc. would rather give up the February outdooor frozen home game every other year and play inside.
And you probably pay for the buses gas and buy them mcdonalds with the extra home game money you make.
Just like how Trump served Big Macs at the White House!

Why not play in the Dome in February?

I’d love to see this one but will make the short trip to the RAC instead. Does anyone know if the replay will be available?

As of the time of this post, the IL article misspelled “Mentality” as “Menality.”

:?

So … since everyone is now engaging in illicit sports gambling … what’s the over/under on the time it will take IL to finally proofread their article and correct the misspelling?
