So Nads takes out Evan Long in the second half for Luke Downs. Not shocked knowing that the Hampton game is coming up on Saturday. Unless there was an injury that nobody knows about.

Was able to stream entire 2nd half without any issue. Great 2nd half. Happy for Schrier, still has best shooting % on the team I believe. Needs some assists, to even things out.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

He's fine. A crease attackman basically. He, Villagomez and Mikey W. could be special with hard work on skills and in the weight room. Need a few more transfers that they should have added this season. Denver was on Schrier from the start. When your best passer is DeMaio there are going to be problems. Considering the fact that this game didn't mean much, I thought it was a good effort after a really bad start.

Tigers showed a lot of heart and almost cane back from a big deficit.

Common theme this year. Haven't been able to play a complete game yet, but this team battles.

Two winnable games upcoming to get to 4-2 in conference and just about lock a spot in the CAA tournament.

Terry Foy had a good writeup on Matt Burnam, an incoming 2023, lefty attack out of Loyola Blakefield.
A lot of good young players, Constantinides is a soph, Villagomez and Schrier and Weisshaar, looks like DeMaio will be back for one more - but Berkeley and Zungailia and Stewart look to be done.

Random thought. I think people sometimes make too big a deal out of the track at Unitas Stadium being a hinderance. I think that, if you combine several factors together, it is one of the finest lacrosse venues there is!

An added bonus to Unitas Stadium is the beer garden on the sideline. Best seats in the house.

Can’t beat the location. Well, actually you could until my crybaby neighbors whined and TU put up a new fence. Now it takes 13 minutes to walk there when it used to take less than 10.

Berkeley is a big loss due to his power and production as was Avanzato this past year. Does Maryland have another transfer they can lend us? Stewart and Swain are gone. Need some firepower at midfield. I guess DeMaio has one year left if he wants to use it. Need more athletes on D and especially at SSM and LSM. Played a ton of zone against Denver.

Not giving up on this season, but if they finish with a losing record overall (5-9 or 6-8), they better bring in some impact transfers next season because the seat is getting hot. I do like the way Josh Webber is playing lately. Becoming a solid two-way player, but unless that North Carolina transfer Cole Herbert (6-3,200+) is playing next season, we have nobody remotely close to Berkeley next season. Does anybody know if Chop Gallagher is hurt? I haven't seen him for several games.

Aside from the three "Young Guns", I love the improvement that Matt Constantinides has made as the FOGO. He's legit. Despite the fact that he's faced some of the nation's top face-off men, he's winning 57% of his draw and is starting to generate some goals.

But when you look at all the one-goal losses and close losses, I think what we need on offense is somebody that can take over like a Sunday, Drenner, or Seider. Even a guy like Mike Lynch was underrated on midfield. We need to get better on D and more consistent in goal. Long might be the guy next season, but there needs to be a Plan B just in case. Maybe that's Downs. Need to start winning games again.

Foy's write-up on Burnam. Sounds like another Weisshaar. Lefty and 5-9, 160.

Matt Burnam '23, A, Loyola Blakefield (Md.) | Towson
Burnam was on a heater vs. the Hill, and what stood out was his quick left-handed release and his ability to find space to get his shot off. I thought he was particularly good at fading on the backside and taking advantage of his defender getting distracted. He’s got a good handle and he’s good off the ground, as well.

Todays game should be a roster game. Everyone on the roster plays, and plays the majority of the game. Hampton should not be playing at this level, but here we are. Towson should be all about the portal this summer. Midfielders, a ball carrier behind, and always looking for a goalie.

Did find out that Chop Gallagher is injured, but could return next week. Could use his size and passing ability on the second midfield unit.

Congrats to Towson on an impressive showing and win over Monmouth! My question is:

Was Towson in the conference tournament before today? Or did they officially earn a bid with today's win?

Not 100% sure of the CAA tiebreakers. You would assume Towson would be in over Hofstra if both finish at 4-3 since Towson beat them. Now there is three-way tie for 2nd, but Drexel and Stony Brook have wins over Towson.

4 conference wins was the key,
Hens, Tigers, Stony Brook, Drexel, they all have 4,

the only team at risk is Stony Brook,
course you have to go out and win your games,
but if Stony Brook loses they’re out and the Dutch are in.

Saturday against Delaware is a playoff game it looks like. Need a win to clinch, can't rely on Stony Brook to beat Hofstra. Would think this team comes in ticked off against the Hens, a team Towson hasn't beat since 2019. Last home game for the Seniors as well.

AND a lot more to play for, as Delaware has already clinched the top seed for the conference tournament.

Anyone predicting a Towson upset.
