I agree. The issue has been that every other post is chicken little talking about the demise of Ivy League lacrosse. It diverts the conversation away from actual transfers and facts.

He flipped back in November. That’s foresight....Schutz also flipped from Boston U. to UVA.... Probably because BU also didn’t play in the Spring.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 5:54 pmDon’t know exact details but Think this might have already have occurred in the high school ranks. Uhhh, Shultz changed to UVA in 2019. If your going to try and argue an insane take such as "Kids shouldn't consider IVY's for lacrosse because half of them didn't play during one season due to an event that isn't likely to ever occur again in our lifetimes", at least try and make yourself seem somewhat knowledgable about the landscape.

Thanks for clarifying….I didn’t intend to imply Schutz changed his commitment this past November. This is what I almost certain of, unless you are his dad, I knew he flipped before you did and why he picked UVA over another school…. You are right, I should never suggest a that a kid shouldn’t consider an Ivy because of playing time….BTW, the point was those decisions were not made because of “Covid”….

Some of these quoted discussions are starting to like 1990s email chains. I know we're not exactly a Gen Z crowd but come on guys.

Do your magic, arealax (PS - thanks for maintaining the list, it's a great resource). Per Xanders twitter:

Mitchell’s a big time talent. Feels like the kind of guy who could blow up in the right spot
Calvert Hall kid. Carolina is losing a lot at midfield.....

Re: Transfer Portal 2022
no idea his preferences, but yeah. 5 of the top 6. and an miaa/calvert hall factory.
also 2 on d. are we sure carolina is stacked with depth to replace that?
Re: Transfer Portal 2022
Interesting Grant is in the portal, but his twin brother, Connor, is not. (Yet?) Grant has played more of the two. UNC sure seems like as good a guess as any.
In order of my curiosity about where they land, I'd go:
1. Lully
2. Khan (Maryland fans think they're getting him)
3. Donville (Maryland fans also think they're getting him)
4. Madronic
5. Murphy
6. Trippi
7. Morin
8. Rock
9. Bartolo
10. Mack/Buckanavage

Re: Transfer Portal 2022
the 2 time defending covid champs are starting to rack up the portals. maybe they can make a run at nova.
none are really surprising other than tygh mildly. but cormier and dickson flirting with it earlier were.
i think this portal thing might get some real action the next couple weeks. younger guys are joining the party.

Re: Transfer Portal 2022
The depth they had was this year. Deepest offensive team in country. They have a massive recruiting class coming in but unless those guys can immediately plug the holes they’ll be much more top heavy next year
Re: Transfer Portal 2022
I have heard Donville to Maryland. Less so Khan to Maryland. Doesn’t mean they’re not interested or that he isn’t; there’s been some smoke about it. But not nearly as much as Donville which looks like a definite.HopFan16 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 6:43 pm Interesting Grant is in the portal, but his twin brother, Connor, is not. (Yet?) Re: Transfer Portal 2022
Not sure about Khan, although he was high on Maryland coming out of high school. Hearing he wants to go somewhere where not only can he win but can play behind the goal at X. Not sure exactly if that latter part would work at Maryland. Heard that every B1G school reached out to Khan, as did UVA, UNC, and Duke.HopFan16 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 6:43 pm Interesting Grant is in the portal, but his twin brother, Connor, is not. (Yet?) Have heard Donville is a good bet to end up in College Park.
Some exits in College Park coming soon.
Re: Transfer Portal 2022
Well he’s not going to be playing X at UVA or UNC. You can rule that out. Among B1G schools; Rutgers has an opening. Same with Penn State. Ohio State could use one. Michigan I’ve heard is interested in Lulley; which means they’re willing to fit Zawada and Boehm to wing/inside to find an X guy. They’d fit. Assuming HF16’s intel is right and DeSimone is on his way back to Hop; don’t see room there.Wheels wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 9:21 pmNot sure about Khan, although he was high on Maryland coming out of high school. Maryland has an opening there. Obviously Malever feels like the heir apparent and the PT he got as a frosh would indicate a leap as a sophomore but he hasn’t played there yet so I could see them being interested.
Duke....Sowers is gone so the hole is open. However do you want to block McAdorey’s quickest route to playing time? I’m not sure
Feels like probably Duke but I think one of those 4 B1G’s i mentioned fit as well
